Help with Yellow Moondancer

Hi Everyone!

I will be going to fetch some ponies on Saturday and one is supposedly Yellow Moondancer. She is not for me, but for my friend. I just need to verify that she is indeed YELLOW Moondancer. Is there something that I can look out for? Is she so definitely yellow that there is no mistaking it? I have the responsibility to get this right: I don't want to let my friend down. So any help or advice would be so much appreciated!

She is really yellow. She looks a little like cheese xD.

I think it possible you got her there, given that ZuluSeashell has cards that match the set released in Scandinavia and you've found a family of Trulys. So there's probably a good chance she's real.

Bearing in mine my loose Moondancer (white) is a bit battered and old, I think it shows it well.

You can't mistake her she is yellow yellow, it's a different colour to what "yellowed" white ponies look like

@ Taffeta, I think you're right, we did get her here: This will be the second pony that has come up for sale recently. We also have Scandanavian Cupcake and Gusty, so the chances are pretty high.

If the moon weren't idiomatically made of 'green' and not yellow cheese, then I swear there would be a bizarre coincidence in here somewhere.

But yes, judging by photographs I've seen, yellow Moondancer is a more saturated pastel yellow (think Posey (or Swirly Whirly/Butter Kiss), as LM mentioned) than the 'dirty off-cream' of a yellowed Moondancer. Assuming that the OP has photographs, it should be fairly simple to judge prior to receiving it in the vinyl.

Here's a comparison pic of the one I used to have.  (I eventually sold her.)  This was the Hong Kong version with a glittery symbol, as compared to a regular Moondancer and Baby Lucky Leaf.

And the other reason for my journey: another Cherries Jubilee symbol variation to add to my collection. She has bright pink cherries and dark stems. And she is the only pony without a ribbon as she has not as yet received a spa day

P.S.: I know the lilac cherries girl is faded, but I love her!

Thanks hathorcat! I think that is one of the reasons I like her so much: she was one of the first G1's I bought after re-entering collecting as an adult and I agree that she is very overlooked. I also enjoy those small details (like the slight differences in symbol colour) for some reason. Now I just need to faded white cherries version to complete the HK herd. Even though I'm sure she is faded, I still want her.

Thanks ColdRuru! I have only one original ribbon in there and tried to match the other ponies to complimentary coloured ribbons from my Pony Ribbon Box
