I finally opened up the TRU Friendship Festival collection after unsuccessfully trying to sell it, and also because the box itself was just too big...

But I do like these static poses more (static pose fan), and sadly, I see myself buying the pearly Best Gift Ever set as well because they're static  Just wish there were other characters in the same pose...

Agreed! Her seapony version is soo pretty pearly, I'm sad they didn't make one for the first pearly sets.
Spitfire looks very un-Spitfire to me. Maybe it's the eyes? They're usually more droopy.
That Applejack is stunning though, what a wonderful color scheme.

I like the head shape but the eyes look too far apart for me, and the boy's body shape only works for some ponies but not Big Mac imo. I've been considering putting my set on Ebay to try to sell it, or wait awhile. I wonder if it'll fit in a flat rate box.

Oh how I wish I could have you. She's more expensive to buy separate than the whole set plus shipping, but I can't justify buying all of them for just her. 

I've actually been buying more ponies since the design change, I love the new look.

I really love Spitfire. She's the only one of these that I have, or want, but the new pose looks ok on her, thankfully. I like her expression. Just looking from the brushable to the FS one from the power pony set, I don't see any droopy eye design going on there either, so maybe that's the animation or something? The FS pony has pretty big eyes in my view. I've lost her goggles somewhere, but she looks better without them

I do wish they'd made an old style version of Spitfire, but I am very happy with this one. The whole set never came to the UK because of TRU dying so I was really lucky to find one at a good price. I guess most people wanted the muffin pony from that set so she didn't get as much attention.
