I am doing an experiment with some resin and glitter to make the wings and the tail, but I need to find glittery fabric that has small enough flakes. I might just have to forgo the glittery fabric in favor of subtle accents versus looking chintzy.

If it works I will re-do the wings and tail it with closer to cannon purples and SPERKLZ YAY

The one thing I am concerned about is how the paint is likely not to be smooth and shiny enough. The Celestia I used had awful stains that didn't fade so I painted a base coat. I used a glossy enamel for the base versus a regular acrylic and it's better? It's still not the result that I want, though. I think the only way to get the result I want is to get an airbrush  x.X

Nope. The resin didn't work. The kind I have is too floop-floppy and fragile for it to be useful.

Next I am going to try cellophane as soon as I can get the materials.

Looks like a great start, and I'm loving getting to hear about the adventure. I heard of someone using fantasy film for the wings and tail. That was going to be a start of a strategy in my mind if I ever make him.
