I don't have them (I bought mine the day it was released), but I rarely, if ever, dock mine, and I probably only have 500 hours worth of game time in it.

Stuff like this is why I never buy launch release consoles. I learned my lesson with the PS2.

Oh fun.  Sometimes I am glad my DD is only aware of the WiiU.

We just had to send ours to get fixed due to a recent software update causing orange freeze screen issues, I'd hate to have any other issues with it.
Unfortunately my sisters are quite rough with their things, and they are the ones that use it the most. If it's due to the heat effecting the plastic (which was mentioned may have been the case in the article), then there is no saving it from the hours of Splatoon 2.

I checked mine and it seems fine, I play it exclusively in handheld mode.

well that's no good. I've been debating on getting one for Xmas/birthday this year but have been holding off because I usually don't pick up launch consoles.

I got mine on opening night. I mostly use it in docked mode with some occasional handheld play.
So far, no cracks.
That said, I do get a little paranoid when it comes to my electronics getting very hot. So usually after I've played it extensively, especially if it's a game that requires a lot of processing power, I take it out of the dock and just prop it up on the shelf with the kickstand to let it cool faster (I doubt by much, but still).

They: You're too old to watch that show!
Me: Can't hear ya, I'm asleep.

I just got mine a few weeks ago and I made sure to buy a warranty with it. If anything happens, I take it back and I get a new one. I went through three red rings of death with the Xbox 360--I'm no stranger to consoles breaking. :argh:

Mine I had since launch and the only nintendo product I broke was my first 3DS were the L and R button stopped working which was just perfect when I got Okamiden and you needed the L and R button

My GB advance sp only hands on smal strip of plastic but still playeable.
