Eeehhh... they're cute, and they're definitely better than the glittery light-up DJ from a few years ago, but.. idk they just don't really feel all that special? I mean, I could probably make replicas of these in an hour or so and I'm no customizer by any means. They just feel kinda cheap and lame, I guess.(also blech! plastic clothing! )
I love the styles, but they should have G1 ponies even if they're in G4 molds . . . ? I mean, this is seriously puzzling. "We are celebrating 1983, but not with 1983 ponies."That said, love the legwarmers and crimped hair, LOL.Edit: Also seems to be fairly cheap for a SDCC set ($20), so at least it's not pricey. Hasbro usually sells extra on HasbroToyShop.com after the event is over.

Love the 80s vibe but I'm going to pass on them. It seems Transformers has this blown out of the water in terms of retro 80s throwback. .. .The TF set I'm referencing has one live-action character and two retro G1 ones.
The same way it works now with having multiple versions of Moondancer. I like the show. But I don't need everything to conform to it.
Here you go: https://tformers.com/sdcc-2018-first-transformers-exclusive-revealed-its-a-bumblebee/33811/news.htmlMovie verse Bumblebee with two very rare G1 characters, who apparently back in the day were insanely hard to find. All in an eye-catching display box, now that's how you 80s throwback.
