Matcha if you can get to Tavistock the toy shop there has the collectors ponies for 9.99. They're at the back next to/underneath the Barbies.

Thanks for the heads up about Trago, I checked about a month ago and had found nothing. Are they in Liskeard or Newton Abbott?

I checked my Nordstroms and Nordstroms Rack and didn't see them there.  Maybe they'll restock soon?

So the DPCI is set by Target itself, right?  Not Basic Fun?

Maybe I'll write a letter to Target HQ and beg THEM to change the DPCI??  It's killing me that this set is so hard to find, not for my own sake (because I bought mine online from Kaplan) but for all the lost sales from people randomly browsing in Target.

This is also making me wonder whether this same code thing will happen here or not. In the US you guys are lucky because all of the releases are the same price, which isn't the case here...so it makes sense that John Lewis has 2 separate codes for the two waves here right now, but since we don't know yet what price code the third wave might have, it's difficult to guess whether it might also come under 01 or whether it will end up being 03.

It also bugs me with distribution here because if John Lewis have 900 or so Rainbow Ponies in their warehouse, why are those 900 Rainbow Ponies not being sent out to JL stores around the country, and only showing up in specific areas...?

The unicorn and pegasus set is showing up at Nordstrom Rack stores in the US.  I found part of two sets at my local store today.

Wow how random! Are they discounted there ?

I spotted some Unicorn & Pegasus ponies at Nordstrom Rack the other day, and they were "marked down" from $13 to $10 so the same price as Target. They were in the impulse buy section near the registers (with the phone cases, hair accessories, snacks, etc) not in the toy display in the kids' department.

I'm a little bit leery that Wave 3 is showing up in what is (at least nominally) a discount chain, but I don't know enough about how Rack sources its stock to go Full Concerned Pony over it. I just really don't want brick-and-mortar retailers' (i.e. Target's) inability to distribute these ponies properly to be what sinks a potential Wave 4 and beyond.

Normally I'd be worried too but don't forget TRU went under and they also carried the retro SSC so there was a good chance they would have carried the ponies too. There was probably stuff that was on it's way over when TRU announced they were liquidating that is getting diverted to discount chains since the other big box stores had placed their own orders.

I found half of wave three at Target today.  They had Glory, Firefly and Medley (which were the three I wanted most from that wave). They also had 1 Butterscotch, 1 Skydancer, and 2 Pretty Parlors.

I don't think them being at Nordstorms Rack is worrying.  The Rack might be 'discount', but not in the way that The Dollar Store is discount.  It's still pretty high end.

For the people who did find them at the Rack, what section were they in?  Near the cash registers?

I hope so! And I found them in the toy section.

I talked to a walmart person. The 35ths are at Wal-Mart, BUT they are online only. Hope that helps.

My Target's been slacking on restocks. There are two Moonstones on the shelves, but no Unipegs again. Hm.

As of last Friday, mine had three rainbows, two collectors, and four uni/pegs. So it looks like the line is being shopped, which is great. I snagged Windy, the characters seem to be hit and miss now.
