I'm not sure if this has been already asked, but when you go to Target, where do you find them? They're not in the kids section, for me. It's quite possible that my Target doesn't stock them, but making sure before I buy them online.
If you go in the toy section, there should be an endcap of retro/nostalgic stuff. There's actually, like, two endcaps now? Mine is on the one on the end of the shelves with baby toys. The ponies are on the bottom of that here.

But not all Targets have the endcap.  My local Target only just put one back up after not having it for 6 months.

Yeah, I don't think my Target has one. Thanks anyway!  :)

The unicorn and pegasus set is showing up at Nordstrom Rack stores in the US.  I found part of two sets at my local store today.

Wow how random! Are they discounted there ?

I spotted some Unicorn & Pegasus ponies at Nordstrom Rack the other day, and they were "marked down" from $13 to $10 so the same price as Target. They were in the impulse buy section near the registers (with the phone cases, hair accessories, snacks, etc) not in the toy display in the kids' department.

I'm a little bit leery that Wave 3 is showing up in what is (at least nominally) a discount chain, but I don't know enough about how Rack sources its stock to go Full Concerned Pony over it. I just really don't want brick-and-mortar retailers' (i.e. Target's) inability to distribute these ponies properly to be what sinks a potential Wave 4 and beyond. :(

In the past they've unveiled new ponies at the New York Toy Fair, which is held in mid February.

Ya that was what I was thinking, so if they do we wont know till around that time I take it.

I found the rainbow ponies in Trago Mills this week :) They were £11.79 each. Haven't seen any of the collector ones in my area, hope the unicorns and pegasi will show up soon.

My set came in the mail- they are beautiful- I love the hair, it is soooo soft!

I am hoping it was the scent that was causing some of the rainbows to discolor- hopefully no discoloration has been noticed on the new ponies? Maybe too soon to tell!

Not like I wouldn't get them anyway of course...

Thanks for the info about Kaplan Toys! I was able to get the third set for not much more than MSRP (about $1.55 more per pony) after the 20% off coupon. Probably cheaper than using up a bunch of gas going around searching for them  ^.^

I don't think Walmart is going to get the 35ths. I see them on their website, but always outta stock. I don't think I'd count on them being there.

Matcha if you can get to Tavistock the toy shop there has the collectors ponies for 9.99. They're at the back next to/underneath the Barbies.

Thanks for the heads up about Trago, I checked about a month ago and had found nothing. Are they in Liskeard or Newton Abbott?  :P

It';s great to know they've finally made it out of the South East and into other parts of the UK :D

It seems like they're probably going to get more widespread in the lead up to Christmas which means wave 3, if it is coming, is more likely going to be around February after all, maybe Easter...

I'm curious at the minute if Toymaster will pick up the rainbows. So far I've only seen collectors in shop and catalogue.

But here's hoping for wave 3 too. :P

Yeah, I wonder this too. I have also only seen the Collector Ponies in one Toymaster out of the three I've coincidentally found in reach of where I now live. Whereas John Lewis say they are restocking but my JL no longer has a tag for the Collector Ponies, only the Rainbow ones :/

I wonder if the Wave 3 release will ever really . . . release, or if they'll go the way of the 1984 set of sea ponies, which I've heard were hard to find even in the 80s. It seems like the Targets in my area are getting backlogged with collector and/or rainbow ponies, and we've established that the Targets won't order Wave 3 until they sell the collectors and that they don't know whether a shipment with that DCPI will be collector ponies or Wave 3 ponies. I've only seen one Wave 3 pony at Target (Glory) but found most of the set and some doubles at Nordstrom Rack the other day. I wonder if Wave 3 is going directly to discount outlet stores. :/ That would be a shame for many reasons, one of them being that I think more little girls would see them at Target. I guess we'll have to wait and see, though.
