35th Anniversary Collectors Pony's - Part 2!

Great news that they’ve been found in John Lewis - I was only there on Thursday! I live fairly close to one so I’ll pop down in the week.

I forgot that European market  had puffy stickers longer than the US. I think that's also a good possibility why the Rainbows got stickers.  The stickers and rainbow brushes do make them stand out more than the Collector Ponies.


Lady Moondancer mentioned in another thread that the stores that Rainbow ponies would sell better if they were scented. I don't need ponies to be scented for me to want to buy them.

Regarding a post a few pages back about the 35th anniversary ponies in Canada. I think they were taken offline because they sold out of what they had to disperse there. I’m hoping they’ll go back up when they get more stock. My local store has restocked them and still has some of them on the shelves. I haven’t been able to pick up Starshine though as she seems to disappear as soon as they restock.

I’m glad they’re finally showing up in more places. I hoping for the third wave here soon.  I’m a bit disappointed in the accessories for the third set though.

It's encouraging that yours still has a spot for them. I might get a chance to check the store in the next city on Wednesday. Ours filled the rainbow spot with clearance items (GOH figurines). Hopefully is just temporary while they wait on a re-stock (at least that's my hope).

FYI - For San Diego ponies,  I found the new unicorn and Pegasus ponies at the Sports Arena Target!

Glitterball,  thanks for the John Lewis tip! Found them today. They had 1 rainbow, Skydancer, and 3 CP - Cotton Candy,  Blossom and Butterscotch.  I wanted a secnd Butterscotch so I got her. At the till the lady had to go look up the code...she commented that she should remember it better because she had sold lots of them!

So they are here and seem to be selling...

It is. That and the fact there was only one lone Rainbow on the shelf...knowing they come in boxes of six, and there were 3 collector ponies, even if they only put three out, two had sold. This is the store near where I'm moving, so I will check back at a later date to see if there's a Windy. But it was so nice to see them on shelves. I never saw collector ponies ever in stores, as far as I can remember, nor y2 rainbows. I was too young. So it was a little surreal but so nice.

I so hope they get Medley's set. That would make my year, whichever year. Seriously.

I had the weirdest dream last night about finding UK babies in re-release packaging on card in a warehouse... of course it was fake and just a dream, but Baby Honeycomb!  *squeak!*  I really really really hope they re-release some babies!

Amazing to hear! Congrats Taffeta, I know you've been too patient waiting for them to appear and I have a feeling the third wave will pop up before the year ends *fingers crossed*

I am so pleased that these are in other JL stores too and that you managed to get a duplicate for your collection today!

Isn't it great to see them on the shelves? 

I might have to buy another one when I next visit, they had Windy, Skydancer x2, C Candy, Butterscotch + Snuzzle when I was there on Saturday. I wonder if these have sold out already and if they have replenished the shelves?

Interesting to note that they're in the "old" style of box without the wrap-around window. Makes me wonder how long they've been sitting there, as I'd given up on Meijer having anything worthwhile pony-wise and haven't checked back in ages.

Sure, tumbl away! I do feel bad that demure little Snuzzle has to compete for eyeballs next to 8" Celestia, but hopefully they'll all get bought up if people know to look for them!
