I emailed All the Cool Stuff (the UK website that was offering them) and they said:

Hi (name),

thanks for your question, they are launching next week within the UK, however only through selected retail partners, where this is not a Hasbro distributed product.

I didn't ask them which retailers because it seemed a little gauche to ask, "Cool!  So which stores are they in apart from yours?"  ;)  But I assume they will be in All the Cool Stuff's brick-and-mortar storefront as well as online.  And the address for that (or at least one of them, I don't know if they have multiple locations?) is:

64 High Street
Fordingbridge
Hampshire

Hope that helps the UK collectors a bit.

Edit:

They also have the Collector ponies on their website!  Does that mean they will also be in physical stores?  I guess we'll find out!

https://allthecoolstuff.co.uk/collections/my-little-pony

Thanks for that, LM. Which proves that TBD lied to us about Spring...even when I asked them about it the other week they said they came out in the UK in Spring which is clearly not true.

I don't even know where Fordingbridge is and Hampshire is a long way away but I know there are pony folk down that way. It's pretty South.

"Lied" is a strong word :/ There was probably just a change of plans, or perhaps TRU closing screwed things up. No need to act like there's a huge conspiracy going on.

I never said conspiracy, stop being so melodramatic. A lie is when someone tells you something not true. Last week someone at tbd told me they were out in the UK and the reason I couldn't find them was that they were sold out.

That was a lie so I call it a lie. If they don't know or plans change then fine but say so. Everyone understands a change in circs but not when they are not honest about it because then it us hard to know what is actually happening. It is a sign of poor customer service and I hate that.

Stop making more of my post than I said.

-shrug- Seems to me that you're being melodramatic. Again, I highly doubt they were intentionally trying to steer you wrong and "lie" to you. They'll show up over here eventually, we just have to be patient.

Edit:  But they do come with a BIG sticker that has all five of them on it!  Yes, even Sunlight who is not in the pack.  ;)  So that's cute.  It also comes with a pink brush, which is funny because the only 1st set rainbow pony with a pink brush is . . . Sunlight.  They booted the poor thing out and stole her brush . . . :P

Isn't that great?

The price on Amazon in USD is literally the retail price of purchasing the 5. I wouldn't be saving anything by getting the multipack if I need to get the straggler, anyway.

My local Targets don't even have MLP retro shelf tags right now. All the back (game section) facing end caps in the toy aisles have all tags removed and are all "clearance" merchandise. They have been like this for several weeks. I am hoping that will change once the "official" release date passes on August 15th.

Mine is the same way.  I only got what I got by visiting a different Target store while on a road trip and ordering the Parlor for pick up.

I am wondering if the five pack is something retailers requested (like the "scented-ness").  Target often has long "multi-packs" of Fashion Styling G4s.  I think some parents like giving a big Christmas present, so maybe this kind of presentation appeals to them?

It is odd though, between having just ONE pony missing from the set and the fact that it's literally a better value to buy them all separate (because then you get more accessories for the same price).  But, uh, I wish them well I guess.  :P  At least it shows they have confidence in the product!

So the 5 pack only comes with one brush?  I have to agree that’s it’s better to buy each pony separately rather than in this set because you get a sticker, brush and ribbon with each pony and it’s missing Sunlight.  I do like the exclusive sticker though.

Me and Ponypunk went out to several Targets that, on their website, listed as having the Pretty Parlor in stock in their store, but there was absolutely nothing once we got there. No Pretty Parlor, no rainbows, not even the six Collectors set (but they did have baby sea ponies and the g4 liquid motion ponies on clearence).

I’m sorry you didn’t find the Rainbow ponies or Pretty Parlor Bebopgroove. Ive has the Target website tell me the store has stuff in stock and then when I get the the employees can’t find it.

My store has all of the retro pony stuff on a back  endcap but that seems to be an exception to most Target stores.

I bet that's it- maybe Target requested the 5 pack (since they seem to like to sell the 5 packs of other ponies/dolls).

I'm thinking also it was priced with the plan for it to go on sale- usually those 5 packs go 30% pretty fast- so I would probably avoid the pack until then even if I were so inclined...
