All but one Target in my area listed the rainbows as in Stock on Sunday, and I'm in California. Oh how fun it would be to go pony shopping with visiting peeps.

It's a shame the fires have gotten so bad as to require overseas assistance but I'm not surprised. I hear they're about as bad as the fires we had in October.

Grungy Starshine is back looking a lot less grungy on AmazonUK. :P
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Basic-Fun-35255-Starshine-Scented/dp/B0789JFWPV/
Hopefully that link works. None of the others are available though.

The five pack Rainbow pony set is back up, although currently out of stock:

https://www.amazon.com/Basic-Fun-Little-Retro-Rainbow/dp/B07DNW27YS/ref=sr_1_7?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1533238552&sr=1-7&keywords=basic+fun+retro+rainbow

I like the singles better as far as displaying goes, though.  I can move them around my shelves and such.

Edit:  But they do come with a BIG sticker that has all five of them on it!  Yes, even Sunlight who is not in the pack.  ;)  So that's cute.  It also comes with a pink brush, which is funny because the only 1st set rainbow pony with a pink brush is . . . Sunlight.  They booted the poor thing out and stole her brush . . . :P

2nd Edit:  So I found a link to what appears to be a UK site offering the Rainbow ponies, and listing them as having "an early August release date":

The exclusive sticker is the only thing I see in the 5-pack that would make anyone want it over the individuals. It appears to come with LESS overall (only one brush and one sticker) and is the same price as buying them all individually and getting 5 brushes and 5 stickers and 5 combs. Why would they do that? Don't packs like that usually cost a little LESS per object, not MORE?

What a weird sticker. It looks like a strange pony pizza.

Agree it should cost a little less-   but I do like the look of the 5-pack, it's a pretty display and would look cool next to the 2002/2003 (I forget which year) re-release set, wouldn't it?

And as mentioned many times before - you guys get these things much cheaper than any other country does, so the price of the actual ponies at retail is a pretty good deal...Your retail price is around £8 in UK money and our retail price is £12.99 for one pony...

It's all relative.

I picked up my 6 ponies and the Parlor today. They were still in the back room and a very nice service rep went back to pick them all up for me. Now comes the eternal debate... To open or not to open.

Here's what my Target's retro pony display looks like. It's on an endcap of the toy section facing a back wall of puzzles and games. They had 2 Pretty Parlors and 3 Rainbow ponies (Starshine, Windy, and Skydancer)

I went to a second Target today to get Starshine, as she was the only one missing from the first store.  Well, had to leave her behind.  Bad factory misprint of her symbol.

I found Starshine at a store near me today! She was the only one left. Hoping to find a Sunlight when things calm down a little.

My local Targets don't even have MLP retro shelf tags right now. All the back (game section) facing end caps in the toy aisles have all tags removed and are all "clearance" merchandise. They have been like this for several weeks. I am hoping that will change once the "official" release date passes on August 15th.

I emailed All the Cool Stuff (the UK website that was offering them) and they said:

Hi (name),

thanks for your question, they are launching next week within the UK, however only through selected retail partners, where this is not a Hasbro distributed product.

I didn't ask them which retailers because it seemed a little gauche to ask, "Cool!  So which stores are they in apart from yours?"  ;)  But I assume they will be in All the Cool Stuff's brick-and-mortar storefront as well as online.  And the address for that (or at least one of them, I don't know if they have multiple locations?) is:

64 High Street
Fordingbridge
Hampshire

Hope that helps the UK collectors a bit.

Edit:

They also have the Collector ponies on their website!  Does that mean they will also be in physical stores?  I guess we'll find out!

https://allthecoolstuff.co.uk/collections/my-little-pony

2nd Edit:  Received another reply from All the Cool Stuff, in response to me asking if the ponies would be in their physical storefront:

They sure will, we have had the samples on display here since the Girls Go Retro show we hosted :)
