I really want Moondancer back. Wish they'd made it the second pegasus set so people could get Surprise and Heartthrob along with Firefly and Medley.

I too have been staring at the picture of Moondancer, wondering about her stripe.  I started digging into Toy Fair pics from other sources and I think it is there.

Go through the pics there and there's one of Sunbeam and Moondancer.  It's still not SUPER obvious, but the color difference is there on Moondancer's mane.

Looks like the retro ponies have a stripe that is on about 1/3rd of their manes rather than 1/4th of their manes like the originals.  (Not a complaint, just an observation.)  The stripe is definitely on top of at least one row of the 'base' color (like purple for Glory, red for Moondancer, etc) . . . Can't tell if the stripe is on top of two rows, like with the originals, or if it's in-line with the 2nd row.

Edit:  One interesting thing about the video (on the previous page) is that when the Bridge Direct / Basic Fun lady is showing off the MLPs, she says "We have everything from unicorns to flat-footed ponies--"  I thought it was interesting that they knew about the history / fan-terms enough to identify them as such.  (Even though the retro Collector ponies are actually in the concave mold--which I am fine with because it's less tippy.)  Man, I wish I was at that Toy Fair.  I would have asked them so many questions.

I'm noticing that the unicorn strips may be done differently on these.  They look wider and like they are in line with the rest of the hair rather than as a separate section.  Also Moondancer appears to be missing her stripe?  I'm still really looking forward to these.  Just making observations.

I think she's beautiful that way, even if it's inaccurate.

WHEEEEEEEEEE I found Blossom and Butterscotch at EB Games.  It took two grown men 10 minutes to dig through the ENTIRE store twice looking for MLP.  HAHAHAHAHA best moment ever.

Amusingly I got Butterscotch for my 5th birthday so this one is ~30 years older hehehe and I will probably display them together.

My Moondancer with nice symbols is whitening up pretty well! Though the one with marker-replacement symbols is still the whitest.
