I (and the whole family) thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure... plenty of plot holes, unresolved storylines and an open end gagging for money spinner sequels, but I loved how it didn't take itself too seriously and enjoyed it for the indulgent entertainment it was. I get (re other people's comments) that it's diverted a ways from the source material, but I see that as just that, source material that's inspired the franchise. Everyone's entitled to their own feelings about it; I'm in it for the fun
The production was great, action was rollicking, the humour was at the right level for me (DO NOT get me started on the Last Jedi again, lol) and the thrills were high (I was mostly concerned about either Blue or Rexy snuffing it). I enjoyed the core 'good' crew - yep, there was the token sass and geek who proves his worth, but I thought the baddies were way more text book. I'm a bit meh about the dinos running off into the woods. I think I would have preferred that they ended up in a sanctuary, but that would be too much closure for the money-makers, wouldn't it, lol!?
And Blue. Just so much love. I want a pet Blue!
