Repinking Before and after

Today I'm using Dr Ph Martin's Radiant Concentrated Water Color in the color Persimmon to repink. I've tried the other pinks in my watercolor set but they all seemed to be too bright and cool-toned. This color's actually a pinkish orange.

Before:

Yoyo and Flurry have slightly pink hair (barely), Streaky has faded completely to white.

After:

It seems that the hotter the water, the more the dye will take.

Comparison with original pink hair:

You can get it on amazon or art stores, it's not cheap but a little goes a very long way: https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Ph-Martins-Concentrated-Persimmon/dp/B003MQJTQU

Looks super great! Fading pink has always been a bummer, this is a good fix for it!

Great! Did you dilute it or just apply right out the bottle?

Thanks! <3

Oh it's definitely diluted! Don't apply it right out of the bottle because it's super concentrated! I put a few drops into a small bowl of hot water, dip the hair in and rinse it off after a few seconds with shampoo.

This is great I can’t wait to try it! It’s worth noting that this type of ink isn’t lightproof so it will still fade and need re-pinking eventually. It’s a perfect colour match though, this is the best repinking I’ve ever seen!

This is a different repinking method than the one I learned. That one was to mix powdered dye (or a suitable color of Kool-Aid or similar since it has dye in it) with conditioner and rub it into the pony's hair. It worked pretty well on Rosedust and Honeysuckle, although they've since re-faded.
