Lost Kitties blind box toys
« on: June 10, 2018, 01:00:45 PM »
I saw these at Wal-Mart today.

https://lostkitties.hasbro.com/en-us

I bought one to see what they were like. I love the kitties, but I don't like how they're buried in Play-Doh. Too messy for my tastes. I'd rather buy other people's doubles than buy new ones.

This is the one I got today.

ooh, I was wondering if someone would make a thread about these! I got one last Wednesday, they are terribly cute.. but I HATE the Play-Doh!! I don't know WHY they felt the need to even include it in the first place, but to bury the kitty and all its accessories under it.. >_< The accessories aren't even in their own plastic baggie (like the kitty + sticker are) so they're crusted with Play-Doh when you get them.. I ended up tossing mine because of it >_< I wouldn't mind getting some more but like you said, I'll probably be getting them off eBay in the future. Can't stand messy stuff.

Here's mine :) sorry about the bad mobile phone pic..

also, I noticed the bottom of the boxes have an LPS logo on them, do the US boxes have this too or is it just the UK/Euro ones?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates the Play-Doh. I get the point of including the Play-Doh. The sandwich that came with my kitty is a stamp/mold to make a turkey leg. But to bury the toys in the Play-Doh is just stupid. Not to mention that the container isn't resealable, so the Play-Doh is going to dry out after one use.

The US boxes have the same mention of LPS on the bottom.

Yeah, if the Play-Doh was at least in its own container then I wouldn't complain. It's the fact that everything's in the same container that drives me crazy >_<

Oh huh, that's weird, especially since I can't find anything else linking these and LPS. Hm. Maybe they were meant to be part of the LPS line but they decided against it at the last minute, too late to change the packaging? Otherwise idk.

I just realized that your LPS logo is different from the US. On mine it says "From the creators of" above it.

Oh, that makes more sense. Maybe the UK/Euro box is missing the text so they didn't have to translate it, then. (I noticed the US stickers have text on them, too, whereas the UK stickers are textless.)

Yeah, the wheat warning is in, what... 24 different languages. I can't imagine doing that with the LPS logo.

I got some of these also!

Not fond of the play-doh, it's too sticky on the accessories.  But I love the little kitties and stickers!  Unfortunately I already have a couple of duplicates (out of six I have two doubles).  Professor Purrkins and J. Roly.

I do hope to collect more.  Though I hope they change the play-doh thing.  I think it's supposed to be 'milk' as they are packaged in cartons.  But, well, it is annoying!  :P

What I did to get it off the accessories was to wait a few hours for it to dry, then it was easier to remove.  Still a mess, but at least it finally came off!

Edited to add:

My stickers have writing on them..

pff, someone from Hasbro must be watching this thread - there's a 5-pack blind box thing out now and that *does* translate the "from the creators of.." text. :P

I got two more a few weeks back:

Also I think I might have found codes for these guys? I was looking at the boxes again and I noticed these numbers stamped on them:

Professor Purrkins = 81061 018
Chomp = 80801 032
J. Roly = 80791 038

Haven't bought any since so can't confirm if these are character-specific codes or not (like how the MLP blind bags have codes), but I figured I might as well post about it just in case?

My stickers have writing on them..

yeah I assume they made the UK/Euro stickers blank so they didn't have to translate them? I don't mind, I kinda prefer them like that tbh. (Thanks for the pics tho ^o^ It's nice to compare them.)

Has anyone gotten any color of Play-Do besides white? I was watching an unboxing video on YouTube and they mentioned that the Play-Do colors varies. Most are white, a few are brown and the pink Play Do is rare.

IIRC I've had brown and pink Play-Doh. Can't remember which came with which, tho.
