When you wait months for one pony to show up on eBay...
« on: May 21, 2018, 10:59:05 PM »
And when it finally does its beyond ruined

Please I know I can't be alone in this suffering.  What's the longest you've ever waited for a pony to show up on eBay?  Did baits show up before the actual pony?  It's so frustrating !!

Oh no, that's too bad :( Hope it shows up in better shape soon  I personally have never had this happen, but I tend to have the kind of luck that when I find something I've been looking for forever, the shipping is way overpriced. Like, I get that intl shipping is high these days, but we're talking serious mark-ups.
I have been looking for certain ponies for many many years though. Lickety Split and Firefly for instance. I never seem to find them in a condition I like... But I wouldn't call them baity, just me being picky.  :yikes:

I’m picky too. I tend to buy on here rather than eBay as US sellers seem to use the Global Shiooing postage thing now which ia reeeaaaally expensive for anyone in Europe.

But anyway, most of the ponies I’m looking for just don’t show up full stop XD

Oh no!  :(  It's so sad when that happens.  I have literally waited years for specific ponies to turn up on eBay, and although they're not usually badly damaged like in your experience, they're almost always grossly overpriced.  It puts you in a painful position of trying to decide whether or not to go for it... knowing it's technically out of your goal price range, but also knowing might be another year or longer until it ends up for auction again.  It's a different type of pony pain.

How annoying! You could always post who it is here, and someone may be selling but didn't put her in a post.

Have you tryied to contact the vendor? I did it a few time, asking for time to pay and never got a "no" so far.
At least, it's worth the try ;)

Was the pony vastly different from the description and pictures?  Or is this a case of "postal service smashdown" on your package?  :(  Or did the GSP program rip it open, smash it down and repack it?  Or did Customs slash up your Argentinean pony to look for drugs?

*pony hugs*  .... what happened?

Just be up front about the condition you want! Someone may even be selling a MIB (if it's a G3+) that will ensure you get as mint as possible.

I have been waiting patiently for the perfect NSS Wind Whistler to show up. Most of the time she has white hair, or very pale faded pink. But I want her with original unfaded pink hair and mint body. I've been considering buying one with at least a mint body and just reroot her, but I keep putting it off.

Good condition Wind Whistlers comes up with pink hair from time to time on the UK Ebay. I guess we didn't have enough sun here to fade them all ;) She looks so pretty like that :D

I haven't had it really with a 'bait' situation but price? Yes. Sugarcake. Either the price is insane or it's Global Shipping which automatically adds about $150 to the price because of the inflated custom fees it charges. So I still don't have her...

I have seen some rare ponies wrecked on ebay though. Hopefully your sought after pony comes up again soon.

Ooooh yeah. I feel bad calling out specific ponies since the one in my mind is super rare (nirvana) and I don't want to make anyone feel bad.. but yeah, there have been a few where it finally pops up and oooh it's a bit pricey but reasonable for the pony and-- ..oh. It has ink marks all over one side. :(

-hug- You'll find a perfect one eventually :) Sometimes it just takes time.
