Is it going to be 2D animation or 3D?  Hoping for 2D . . .

Interesting that She-Ra is getting a reboot while He-Man isn't, but I'm not complaining.   

MOTU did have a reboot some ten or twelve years ago but SheRa hasn't ever had one I don't think. The reboot MOTU sucked a lot of the humour out of the original if I remember rightly but it did at least bother with an actual origins story so that was a bonus. I only saw a small portion of that series mind you.

As a kid I generally preferred MOTU but the premise for SheRa is more interesting in my opinion. What annoyed me about SheRa was that there are all these characters and they hardly get used, but instead you get the annoying Bo, Madam Razz, etc. I know Bo was made but Madame Razz wasn't so waste of screen time. I think Frosta, Glimmer etc got some significant airtime and I remember Castaspella having an amazing episode with Shadow Weaver (who is my favourite SheRa character because reasons) but most of the later ones had token appearances. Hopefully a new series can do something about that.

In any case, I always liked that SheRa (Adora) began the series as brainwashed by the enemy, and the idea of the Resistance.

She won't be. I know Lumberjanes, its got great female characters. Not even the original was an airhead. She was more intelligent than her brother, that's for sure.

Lumberjanes is an awesomesauce indie comic book series featuring an all-female main cast. The characters are fantastic, and avoid falling into the typical, negative tropes that are so common in entertainment. If you want a well-written series with realistic, non-stereotyped women, it’s defs worth a read.

Also, isn't old SheRa on Netflix? It certainly was at one point over here in the UK. Testing the waters maybe?

Looking at the castlist, I'm encouraged by the possibility of more involvement of the characters that were sidelined originally.

Although I don't see Flutterina...or Peekablue.

I can't remember which Shera figures I kept, but I think it was Flutterina (aka Papillon in my house for reasons), Perfuma, Netossa and Peekablue. It will be sad if Flutterina and Peekablue miss out on this new release.

However, I will hope that maybe there'll be a Shadow Weaver doll this time...

Maybe they wanted to limit the number of group members taking up screentime? They could still expand with more characters later on, if the show is successful.
Kowl, Madam Razz and Spirit/Swift Wind are missing as well. I can do without Madam Razz and to a lesser extent Kowl, but Spirit was quite iconic. I hope they keep him, even if he doesn't talk.

However, I will hope that maybe there'll be a Shadow Weaver doll this time...

I'm hoping for a smashing quality toy line! It's quite the stretch to assume there will be any toys at all at this point, but Mattel could potentially have their new Princess doll line right here, with Ever After High fizzling and the loss of Disney Princess... They tried to fill the void with the superhero girls, but those are still of a different kind than She-Ra.
This is mostly just me hoping for a great outcome though

I basically agree with all the points you made. I will be sad if Flutterina and Peekablue miss out but I do have my vintage ones still. Flutterina is probably my favourite of the old figures :/

I will be happy if Madam Razz is gone for good. I hated her :/ And her broom.

It will be sad if Swifty isn't involved. :/

Would be happy to see less of Bow as well, but I guess he's rather essential. I put him in the same category as Rio from Jem - an unnecessary moron confused by multiple identities.

Lol, don't fear; Seahawk is still around to overshadow Bow. Seahawk was a great male sidekick, I hope his role will be bigger this time. Especially if Bow turns out to be the main comic relief now that Razz, broom and Kowl are gone.

  He-man already had his reboot and it was actually a pretty decent one.

I somehow missed She-Ra when I was a kid but I've gotten interested as an adult so I'm definitely on board for this re-boot! It looks like it will be good.
