 Well like previous years there will be a mid season hiatus after the airing of ep. 13 on June 9th. Ans speaking of ep 13: It and the 3 remaining of this half were released early in Finland.  Pretty sure the ep's are available somewhere, but of course they won't be translated.

 There is one screenshot going around from one episode (Marks for Effort) that's worth sharing. Every time you think they can't give a pony a new facial expression, they do it:

Well Hasbro dropped some info at the Las Vegas licensing show. It's not solidly confirmed, but:

*There will be a holiday special after S8
 
*New EqG movie, shorts, and songs

*Season 9 will be a full 26 episodes, including a 200th ep' special.

But most importantly about S9 (big spoiler below):
