I think they are officially part of the 1992 line here but as you well know, UK distribution was never that neat and tidy ;) I had Bright Bow and Rain Ribbon from new, but unfortunately I don't think I have a record of when I got them. I know I bought them both myself, they weren't presents...but that means it could be literally any time of year.

I’ll try and take some nice pictures for you tomorrow. I don’t have many. I just have two Canadian flutter ponies-Forget Me Not and Honeysuckle.

I don't have any photos to contribute but I love seeing on the MIB ponies. It brings back so many good childhood memories.

Thanks Sky_Rocket_Sammie :) I'm really pleased with the response from collectors and I'm finding it very nostalgic too :)

Taffeta - I have a result! Baby Starbow was the final pony to have her birthday recorded! She was "born" on Thursday the 3rd of September. I looked it up and it would have been 1992! Rainribbon didn't get an entry so she'd have been after then. So they were a year after the Canadian release! Unfair :(

Thanks very much StrawberryScoops :) I love seeing Canadian packaging. Ooo, can you photograph the story too?! I wonder if it's the US or UK one because if they had to fit in a translation they might have had to shorten it!

Re Starbow - that makes sense.

I noticed with the Teeny Weeny set, Little Rattles can be found MOC on UK card with either the fading pink hair or the rough darker pink hair. My childhood one was the latter and she came with my Kitchen from Woolworths (Christmas present 1992, one of the few we have actual records from in terms of pictures) so I assume that the fading hair ones were earlier and then they ran out of good hair and started experimenting. But it's just a theory. Ditto with the handful of blue haired Pretty Beats found here, and probably same with the Rainbow Babies as well.

Many of these were definitely still in stores in 1993 as well. But I am pretty sure the 1993 line was in my area all through 1994 along with German packaged Rockin' Beats as we never had any of the actual 1994 line. So we might have been a tad out of sync.

I think I'm right that teeny weeny ponies also have different accessories in the European release? Or did I make that up?

Interestingly the two hasbro sent me loose in 1994 (Lullabye and Giggles) both have the silkier hair, whereas my childhood ones have the rougher hair. There are other minor differences too suggesting they had different production runs. I have always assumed those two were samples of some kind...nothing exotic, not prototypes, just basic not carded sample ponies. The woman who sent them to me said they were ponies she just had lying around the office. They never came with anything, not in bags, nothing...so I imagine they must have been something like that.

I didn't know about the differences in hair, well, except the coloured stripes changing. I plaited all the teeny weeny babies hair so I don't know if I could tell the difference now.
The US release of the Teeny "Tiny" babies have no ribbon. I only have one photo of a European language one - Little Giggles in Spanish. Her ribbon is darker than the UK release so I wonder if that's a theme? Hopefully there'll be kind people donating images so I can find out!

I imagine you could tell ;) If it's gone horribly frizzy, you have later style hair. But Little Rattles is really distinctive on sight:

Both colour and hair quality.

The paler one fades to white as well. Symbols are also different.

Both were definitely sold here. The one with the darker hair is my childhood one.

It's less defined on the others, for example Lullabye:

I believe the one from Hasbro probably matches the one more common in the US with silkier hair.

The only silky hair one I don't have for comparison is Little Honey Pie but it definitely marks a change in production at some point through this line, during the time it was out in Europe. Like with many of the sets from this year, it doesn't seem to affect the US release, so must be time sensitive in relation to releases.

I'm diverting your thread again. Sorry ;)

Thanks very much mlp4me :) Shall I use your user name for the watermark? I'm only impressed by Red Roses' having makeup included :P

and yes Taffeta - I'm 100% on the difference in brush/comb for the rainbow babies and have been since I got mine. Mostly because I managed to get two whilst on holiday in Canada and they had to have non-pony ribbons! I'm sorry, I'm a terrible collector. They've always been jealous of their UK friends who prance around with their ribbons mocking them... perhaps I should stop doing that :P

I updated the list of images needed yesterday... but have had a lot donated today, thanks Einhornbaby :D So I'll re-update it soon.
mlp4me as a water mark would be perfect!

These 2 are my only MIB ponies. I do have some backcards on their own though if there’s any you want just the back of. I have some MOC ponywear too, but not the sets you have listed as needed.

Thanks StrawberryScoops - Would you like me to use your user name as a watermark? I've listed which card backs I need in the main MOC wish list. It's not very clear, I'm afraid but hopefully you can figure it out :)
I'm still working on the MOC pony wear - I do have a lot of photos waiting to sort.
ooo, interesting... Forget-Me-Not is Souvenir in France but Petit Souvenir in Canada :) Little things like that interest me :D

And I've updated that list today.

StrawberryScoops works as the watermark :)

Here are some backcards. Some were listed as wanted and some didn’t have Canada listed so I thought I’d throw some in, just in case. I think the French names listed on cards in Canada could often be different than France, but I’m not too knowledgeable about it.

Thanks very much :) I've made my lists from what I've found MOC so if it's not listed it just means I've never seen it.

I've put my boxed ponies in the facebook album that you can access.  I think that's all I have unless you add playsets!
