Let's Talk About My Pretty Pony!

I realized I don't really see this girl (These girls?) discussed a whole lot! My very own Pretty Pony just arrived at my house this morning! She is nearly in mint condition with her box, papers, and all her accessories with her, (also a random football team hat added in there that just happens to be her size lmao!) nothing on her is broken, cut, or missing! She is SO COOL! And huge! I got the brown one, the pink one seems infinitely more rare.
These girls in general seem very hard to find! The one I found was incredibly lucky, I've never seen any before that weren't missing all their pieces, broken, baad haircuts, etc.

I really do love the Pretty Ponies and always refer to them as the 'mother of ponies' or the Titans of ponies, I mean they kind of really are. xD

I think they're super cute! I have the brown one. She doesn't fully work (one eye doesn't close so she winks instead of blinking) but she's fine otherwise.

My mother spotted her at an antique shop and told me about it, I quickly explained what it was and we rushed back to get her

I've seen some My Pretty Ponies on ebay before, and while having one would be nice, she does look a bit fragile. Is she actually made of plastic, or is she made of the same vinyl G1s are made of except bigger?

That is so awesome!! And actually, that means yours works fine! She is only supposed to wink actually, both her eyes move so she can close them when she lays down like a BBE but with the trigger on her chin it's just a wink! (;

She is a hard plastic! She feels a little bit fragile because of her age but as long as she's handled with care and given TLC I think she'd be fine! The most fragile part I've heard is the inner-workings of her, I think they're set up like plastic levers-and-pullies (I may be wrong on this but I believe that's how I saw it, I think I saw someone's photos of taking her apart once)

About 12yrs ago, I bought the pink one with pink hearts. She's now completely discolored SIGH  You can see that her eyelids are pink & her hearts too, but that's all.

Say whaa? I didn’t even know there were two different brown ones!

I’ve got a working one with her box, accessories, and instructions. I only recently got around to doing her hair. It was so matted and dry. I was terrified of ruining her while I worked on it! I’d still like to get her pink counterpart one day.

I really love seeing her!  She's such a sweet pony and she looks great.  What a lucky find!

I got the brown as a Christmas present when I was little.  That was before My Little Pony launched so no Butterscotch.       I lost track of her a long time ago.  But I remember her hair was a mess.

I got my discolored pink one locally for about two bucks! I didn't know she was rarer. Mine has a slight mane cut and... Eyelash cuts, oddly, but nothing too bad.

The hair has a straw like texture.

The preservation project has pics of her insides.

I think there was also a lavender prototype?

And of course, Butterscotch was sold with her as her baby I think it was to promote sales of the newly launched line?

My apologies because I'm not entirely sure who's photo this is, Google says it's from mylittleponyworld.com, but who is that white unicorn next to the Pretty Ponies at the bottom? Did MLP try a similar thing in later years as a gimmick maybe?

I love MPP! I'd love to have those girls someday, but I have never seen one in the wild, and I see them come up for sale online so infrequently. You're so lucky!

Also, the random sportsball helmet is Cincinatti Reds, which is a baseball team.  It looks like the helmets you can get from ice cream stands in the stadium, like they serve a sundae in it.

I always thought they were pretty cool, being the mothers of all the colorful pony madness and everything. But I don't think I'd ever want to own her since she's so big. I'd have no place to display her. I'd love to see one in person one day though, just so I can hold her and observe how her eyes and such work.

I think it's pretty funny that it came with her, I'm keeping it in her box with her other pieces. Maybe that's just a personality quirk of this particular pony, she happened to become a a baseball fan in her nearly 40 years of life, lol!

Huh, that's weird. It looks like Moondancer with her being a white unicorn, the pose, and that bit of red at the top. Is it even a G1 pony? It looks like it's assembled like a MPP. And I think that is Debra Birge's site (is that even the right way to spell her name? Does she have a site name?) I think she has written a lot of books about G1.
