Are there fake petite Blythe?
« on: April 17, 2018, 07:13:26 AM »
Hello everybody.
I know that there are fake Blythe and fake Middie Blythe.
But I haven't heard of fake Petite Blythe.

Does anyone know if fake Petite Blythe exist?

Thanks

Since Hasbro owns the original rights to Blythe they released playline versions of the Petites as part of the Littlest Pet Shop line. So while they aren't "fake" persay they are different from the original Japanese releases. Unlike the Japanese ones the LPS Petites have vinyl heads with static inset eyes and rooted hair instead of a wig. They also had a couple of style switches in the line that took the doll/figure even further away from her original look.

There are fake petite blythes on aliexpress. They have the blinking eyemech. The Hasbro LPS petites do not blink. They also have soft heads, the real petites have hard plastic heads.

Yes, there are loads of them.  They list them as factory dolls, but in reality they haven't made Petite Blythes in the classic mold in ages, so they're just straight fake. Probably with stolen/copied molds.
