Though being in the UK he's a rugby player right - so ours is nicknamed 'Fly Half'

Haha Yes, I think he's a rugby player here too although no self-respecting rugby player would play with a helmet, right??

Fly Half seems an appropriate name. Never knew why they didn't change his name when they changed some of the others O.O.

Aww! any Gen 1 boy pony is an automatic approval from me. Gotta love that helmet! The ear holes don't seem very practical, but who cares? It's cute!

Have him, well I custom a very bag haired Barnacle pony into him, I done his hair in his cartoon counterpart. All I need to do is paint over the glue residue from the sticking of the head (talking like Starfire here), and do the symbols.


Have you noticed that in the episode that the Big Brother ponies are in, they call him Score (which is his U.K name)

I think he's the blandest of the Big Brother ponies.  His symbol just strikes me as being extremely lazy.   Like, it seems like they could have had more than just the football.  The football as it flies through the goal post thing, for example.  Or at least some 'movement' lines.

...but you are right the name in the episode is different. I wonder if it was under consideration. I mean, they changed Ice Crystal and Thundercloud (they were originally Frosty and Storm, which would have been a trademarking nightmare) between planning and release in the UK. They're named this in the UK Hasbro catalogue and one of the tags for Snuzzle's 1987 Grooming Parlour actually says 'Storm' on it, with Thundercloud's symbol.:

The show also calls the unicorn princess Lilac if I remember rightly, in the Quest for the Princess Ponies (whereas her uS name is normally Sparkle). Names like Cherry Berry were also originally intended for the US but got changed (here, Crunch Berry) although Cherry Berry came back in G4.

Maybe they did think of making Score his name. But I have always thought it odd that they didn't change his name from Quarterback here. Score is more generic, so it would have made more sense...
