POTD 3/26/18 TAF Megan

The theme this week is Megan and Sundance. We're kicking things off with TAF Megan.

I have two of her. My first was a thrift shop find, with a big red marker spot on her forehead. lol. Second one is in better shape. :o)

I have this Megan.  I don't have her shoes or the pony that comes with her, but...

I like this Sundance, because I'm hard pressed to ever find a pony I dislike in this pose, but I've never been a fan of this Megan. I liked her better when her eyes were more similar to the ponies' eyes.  She always looked too much like a Moon Dreamer to me (which, given that she is literally made from a Moon Dreamer mold that makes all the sense in the world).

Overall Megan has always been problematic to me.  She always seemed WAY too big to be riding Sundance. It really bummed me out as a small child for some reason, I just felt bad for Sundance and felt the "shy pose" of the original release was more of a "put upon" pose.

TAF Sundance is pretty, but I have a hard time seeing her as "Sundance".  Mostly because of her fading pink hair.  (Sidenote, why put FADING PINK hair on a pony with hair that changes color in the SUN?  LOL.)

As for the doll . . . definitive proof that Megan had a swelled head.

Want her! Don't have a Megan yet. Nor do I have the pony or accessories that came with her in this release.

I like Sundance, her simple design and nice and that pose is always adorable but I don't collect dolls, so I don't have Megan. They do make a cute pair, though.

Pass.  All of the human companion dolls in the G1 range are really unattractive.  I wish they'd put a bit more effort into making them a bit less creepy! Not cute at all.

I don't remember them from childhood.  But as I had the original Megan, I think I would have found the new face jarring.

Sundance is really cute though.

Pass. I can't stand that dress and I prefer SS Sundance.

I got this set for Christmas one year as a kid.  Megan was never my favorite.

Although this version of Megan and Sundance was not sold in the UK, I'm the kid who actively told my parents I didn't want Megan as a kid xD.

I do have this Megan and her Sundance. But I am not a fan.

Despite being a blond haired (for most of my childhood) blue eyed kid, I hated blond haired blue eyed dolls with a vengeance (as that was literally all I ever saw). So this is one set I don't care about the UK missing out on.

Would love their box though.

I used to have both of them from my childhood, megan is gone now but sun dance remains.
