Found help!
« on: March 14, 2018, 06:14:22 AM »
I'm looking for the G4 Hippogriff babies. So far, I believe they have been sort of spotted in the UK.
Anyone willing to help me out?

As far as I know they haven't been spotted in the UK in terms of stores. A lot of stores carry the baby sea ponies but most have moved on from these now.

I know there were some on Ebay recently but though those were from a UK seller, they were in US packaging. So probably were acquired by the seller direct from a distributor.

I have been looking a lot for these but no luck either in London or at home. I'm still looking because they do have a habit of appearing unexpectedly - I also have mother and sister looking - but no sign. We still have Wave 2 baby sea ponies in some stores which is the wave they are meant to be connected to, so I guess there's a slim chance someone is finding them before me - but there's only been that one seller on ebay selling ones in US packaging, so I don't think they're here yet.

If I see them though I intend to buy every single one because I know people here are looking for them.

Darn. I wish the distribution was better :( I've seen them via ebay and via shopandbox (UK and Irish seller apparently) but I think... it's US packaging too

I'll be heading into town later today, I'll have a look whether I can spot them anywhere. <3

ETA: Nope, no luck. I searched MUKK, Toys R Us, Galeria Kaufhof and Karstadt.

Sorry, that just amused me. :) Nothing like maternal affection ;) I feel like my Dad would do the exact same thing...

It's nice to know they've actually been confirmed in stores somewhere. It may explain where the ebay/online sellers got their stock from. I rather think they may end up like the wave 3 pearlies -  they're the tail end of the movie promotion so they're not going to be as easy to find.

I had wondered if the UK ebay ones had come from Australia or NZ as they seemed to have $9.90 price labels, but a bit of searching suggests it may have been from Singapore.

I hope they have shown up in Germany on European cards. If so then it means there's a good chance for other places in Europe :) I think the first online images were seen on UK TRU's website but as that's melting into goo right now, I don't think there's a chance of them showing there.

Someone on ebay was selling the whole set from NZ and pictured the two hippogriff with the wave 2 4 baby sea ponies but they were only randomly supplying one from the set and they were expensive.

I actually asked Hasbro UK about them as one of them is on their website, and they are unhelpful. But they did say whatever is on the site is planned for release in 2018 at some point. Probably.

It took 2 email attempts to get that much info. Blood from a stone.

So glad you managed to solve your problem, Moonbreeze :)
