Help please - cleaning a G3 Starcatcher with cloth wings
« on: March 10, 2018, 03:14:14 AM »
My G3 Starcatcher is in need of a bath and some hair-styling.

Are there any dos and don'ts to deal with the cloth wings or can she be washed as usual? Do I take the wings off, if so how?
Apart from being a bit grubby she's in pretty good condition so don't want to wreck the wings.

Thankies

I love Star Catcher! As for cleaning her, I would avoid getting the wings wet. I don’t think they can come off, I think you’d have to cut them.

I would use a baby wipe if she’s just a bit dirty, or you can try a magic eraser. JML make one if you’re in the UK. Just cut off a small piece and get it damp, then wipe her down. Just don’t rub the painted areas on her like her hoof heart and raised designs too hard, or at all if you don’t need to.

When washing the hair, be careful not to get the top of the tail too wet, just in case it gets inside and rusts  ;) if you do, don’t panic, jut dry it with a towel, and she’ll be fine.

Hope this is helpful, and have fun giving her a spa day!
