Pretty Parlor Blanket
« on: February 28, 2018, 11:54:18 AM »
I have my Pretty Parlor in order! Huzzah! But I do not have the blanket.
Could someone post a picture of the blanket, peferably flat and next to a ruler, so I can cut out my own? Is it the same as Majesty's purple robe blanket thing? I don't care if I have an original, but I am so close to this being complete!

Since we are here, I have two of the white kitty, Snowball? One is solid vinyl and one is hollow hard plastic. What gives?

There seem to be a bunch of variations on the pets that come with the playsets. I have a couple of different white kittens too (she's called Snowball in the UK, I think the US she's Catnip)? I figure that in the case of the UK, there are also variations on Kiss Curl's symbol and place of manufacture and some of the playsets are made in Spain so that might be the reason. The white kitten goes with the Brush me Beautiful Boutique in the US, right?

Examples of mine, in case they look like yours at all.

Unfortunately I can only say for sure that the one with the better eyes came with a Kiss Curl with reverse symbol and a playset made in Spain. Which possibly isn't helpful if yours came from the US...and I don;t know the origin of the other as I got it loose and separate :/

I can't comment any on the blanket tho :) I think it's pink fabric but right now I can't remember and am miles from my accessories :/

I remember it was pink and really thin...

but I had the standard set with the orange cat. Maybe the blanket is different in the snowball set?

I had assumed we were talking about Peachy's parlour...although admittedly the kitten talk did kind of throw me?

If it's the purple parlour then yeah, it is a thin piece of pink fabric I think. Peachy's is different though. It's thicker fabric I think.

Aurora, which parlour are you trying to match accessories to?

I have both of the sets, the parlor and boutique, and I'm trying to match some accessories, for both of them, really. But here is my mostly complete parlor! The comb is wrong, but I don't really care about the combs.

I am hoping to make something from cute fabric, maybe even a couple. But I happen to have a piece of pink thin material, maybe i could make an accurate one.

Eventually I will probably try making most of their blankets and flags and such just because I like that sort of thing.

What i really need to know is the dimensions of Peachy's blanket, or if they are the same as Majesty's.

Then I think the blanket for the parlour is a thicker pink fabric for Peachy's.

The box image I have for it shows pink, the Argos photo shows blue, but I am sure mine is pink...

There's also Snuzzle's parlour by the way ;) although that's mostly the same as the Peachy one except for the name plates being updated to include later ponies like Sunburst and Gusty ;)

Here is a random photo on the internet-  that is the blanket I remembered. Super cheap feeling- like super thin velveteen?

Oh here is an even bigger and more detailed photo: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR6SU4y-hfb_B3Gk2sP27NZRINn-fvdMsgygKVfGNgZlV351l5u

I did see dozens of photos when I put into google "peachy parlor accessories"  you may want to browse through them to give you a better idea...

Well, aside the fact the UK one says Grooming Parlour instead of Pretty Parlor on the label on the back, you're probably good ;) The name cards are somewhat in demand as they're hard to find and feature mountain boy names, but I don't think there's any real difference in the accessories other than Snuzzle instead of Peachy.

Shlugh's images of the parlour shows the blanket I remember, but that might not be the same as the US one? I think I also have the one in Galactica's photo somewhere in an accessory bag...and Kiss Curl's is similar to that as well..

The blankets seem to be a standard size, they fit a whole bunch of adult girls (not big brothers though!)

I'll measure the pink one I have tomorrow for you. Don't know exactly which set it comes from, I've used it as a pattern to make my own blankets.  It looks like the one in the photo above.

Have got the pink blanket here now so measurements:

front to back at bottom - 3.75 ins/ 9cms
front to back in middle   - 2.5ins/6.5cms
width from bottom edge to bottom edge - 5.5ins/14cms
depth below neck shaping at front - 1 inch/2.5cms

all a bit approximate as the corners are curved.

PS: for a boy pony you need about an extra 1 cm each side at the front as their necks are bigger.

Hope that helps
