Happy Birthday to Heather!

A long, long time ago, when I finished/failed college, I moved away from home and took my two cats, Emma and Nick, with me.  I later decided to adopt another cat.  I got a little longhair, tortiseshell kitten.  This was the first pet I was to get all on my own.  I named her Heather.

As she grew, she lost the orange flecks in her fur, and her long kitten fluff disappeared, changing from a longhair tortie into a plain shorthair grey tabby.

She has given me some scares.  She has a possible growth in her abdomen that causes bouts of stomach upset, and she battles hyperthyroidism, but today she celebrates her 17th birthday!  My baby girl!
