My mom is planning a trip to Paris France for her Birthday.  What is the best Hotel to stay at?  She would like to stay in the 1st District.  Thank you for any help!

1 Arrondissement can be very expensive due to its location, but I generally recommend anything that's not a brand hotel. Does she want to be near the Louvre?

Brilliant. The other option is across the river, and looking at the Louvre, which is also a trick we use with people who have to see the Eiffel tower every morning.
