I got my tickets :)  I only went for a standard Saturday ticket, but my God, did those VIP tickets sell fast or what? XD

I also got weekend tickets with no VIP. I am not such a special convention merch person and I don't feel I miss a lot on ponies if I skip that half hour early entry.

Really want to go, but I would be on my own in a city I have never visited before, and frankly I am terrified! I'm also a bit gutted VIP sold out :(

Don't be scared! It's a city in which you speak the language :D

Obviously it's your own choice, and you have to do what you are comfortable with - but I kind of see it like this. I can't navigate at all (I don't mean I get lost, I physically can't navigate) and so I get lost literally two seconds after leaving a station, everywhere I go, even places I know. But if I didn't go anywhere I wouldn't ever experience anything. Most of the ponycons I have been to I have gone there on my own. I have been lost, I have been sent on diversions via additional stations due to rail maintenance, I have had to get buses and then walk around in circles until I find a landmark that makes sense. BUT I have never regretted going to a single Ponycon.

Last year I had to be rescued because I didn't know how to get from the venue to the station but thankfully there is usually someone at con who is willing to rescue :) And I am still going this year, whether my sister goes or not. Even though I haven't been to Nottingham since I was a kid, and not ever on my own.

Bottom line is, there are ponies involved ;) That makes it all worthwhile :D
