Little Girl Finds Sword in King Arthur's Lake

They figure its a prop, but that little girl will have a great story and souvenir to go with it. What kid wouldn't dream if finding a cool sword?

That is awesome and adorable - thanks for sharing! She's really lucky, my sister and I had to make do with neon plastic swords when we were kids! :D

That's really cute! Even if it is a prop, that's going to be a fun story to tell later on!!

Very cute. I wondered for a moment why the image was from Sheffield and then I realised she'd been on a trip to Cornwall.

You know, we should have had a Queen Matilda back in the 12th century, but she and her cousin Stephen fought a civil war after he stole the throne and she ultimately had to make do with forcing him to allow her son to inherit when he died. \A Queen was apparently too big a step for 12th century England, we didn't get over that one till the 16th century. But she was the rightful heir to the throne in 1135. Just saying, it's cute the kid's name is Matilda ;)

I for one welcome the new 7 year old monarch. Long may she reign!
