Popsockets-your opinion on them
« on: February 06, 2018, 12:22:44 PM »
I’ve been thinking about buying a pop socket for my phone but have read mixed reviews. I have an iPhone 8 Plus and I have very small hands so I was thinking a pop socket would be helpful..

I have large hands and a Samsung Galaxy 8. My parents just got some for free at an auto show, so I decided to give it a try. They're pretty handy! They work well as a phone stand and it's nice to hold my phone and have an extra bit of support in case I let go when it's over my face.
I doubt the one we got is an official PopSocket brand popsocket, but I've heard that people are saying that name brand is better than any cheap generic sockets. I don't know how true that is, but it feels like this one works pretty well, so buying official or not is up to you.

I have one. It's one of those things that seem unessecary at first glance but become invaluable once you have it. I have a small hand and large phone and I just don't understand how I did it before the popsocket sat on the back. Also, it's great when watching a video or something, instead of holding it I can put the phone down on a table or knee and and have my hands free when I'm eating or stuff while watching :)

I got a phonecase with a metal ring on the back....and I can set my phone a little bit up with it...but it claps back easily...
I didn't even knew this kind of things existed! I had to Google *popsocket* and when I saw them...I am going to give it a try! We got a chain of shops here like the Dollar store and consorts, but ours isn't called a *Euro Store*...but they are named *Action* and they will be having knock-off's from very populair products for a realy decent quality and price, and not only knock-off's but like Dove Douchegel but with foreign text on it! They bought up overstock and such. So I wait untill they have them! ;-)

I love mine (on a Galaxy S6 edge+)!

However, there are a ton of "fakes" out there and I haven't found any other brand I actually like except for the original "Popsocket" brand.  I have 2 on my phone which makes it easy to hold or stand up on its side.

I almost never drop my phone now, and its much more comfortable to hold for longer periods of time. I didn't think they were going to make such a big difference for me, but it seems to have.

I like mine.  I have an iPhone 7plus, and I do not drop it as easily.  I don't know how bootlegs fair, as I have never used one.  I don't think it is the best stand, as mine falls over frequently with it.  It does help keep the phone from slipping though when propped up on something, usually.  The one thing I really don't like is that my phone no longer sits flat with it on there.  Overall though, I like having it on my phone.  At first it took a bit to get used to but now it's as if I never went without it.

I've considered getting one, although the $14 price at my local Target seems a bit steep for me. Then again, I'm very cheap (strange for someone who collects stuff) so maybe it's just me. I'm sure if I found them for cheaper I'd get one.
