Let's Make a Pony! Game 2 Anyone?

Hello wonderful Arena folk.

Some of you may remember Let's Make a Pony, but for those of you who didn't catch the first game, here's a handy link to see the happenings (sorry for all the broken images, photobucket, right?): http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,381901.0.html

And without hopping threads, the gist is that we, as a community, partake in a series of polls--which ask questions like species, colours, theme, names, etc.--to create a brand new, maybe crazy, maybe simple, pony!

Anyway, moving onto modern times. I was remembering the fun and would love to host another one. My only concerns are my timetable, luckily I have a 9-5 weekday job now so no randomly scheduled night shifts to worry about getting in the way. But I'm still busy and this was a five month commitment last time. D: Ideally, I would love to recruit a co-host to help with organizing and thread making/updating. But at the same time I don't want to be flaky and kind of disappear when we need to communicate (my brain works best when my mind wanders at work or the subway commute)...

Furthermore, I have lost my notes, so I will be backtracking through the old threads to catch myself up and create a new document, and hopefully have enough information about the kinks that went on last round (I remember there being a few!). Please, if you participated before and have any suggestions/feedback on the things you liked and didn't like, I'm more than grateful to receive it.

One think for sure I feel could improve is the poll format. The arena polls are great, but sort of limited. I feel it would be smoother if I had the ability to have multiple polls up at once, instead of trying to cram 2 different questions in one poll and/or snail things along and ask small details one at a time. My only hesitation is I don't want to force people off site to participate, you know?

Sorry for the unorganized ramblings. I guess, I'm just looking to garner interest and feedback before I start working on this. No matter what, it will still be a little while before I get the ball rolling, since I need to rebuild my notes and try to get some art assets and other small nitpicks taken care of.

I missed the last one but it looks like it was really fun! I would love to have another one!! Cassiopeia looks so pretty. I would not like polls offsite only if you would need to create an account to join whatever offsite site you put them on. If you could just go to the site and vote, I would be fine. Which site are you planning on using? And I would love to help host!

Yay! Happy to see some interest already. I've been reading through the old threads and need to start jotting notes. I DID just find inspiration from someone's old post for a new silly feature to vote on. One, I feel will be vetoed instantly, but I can't help but put a feeler out there. I kind of wish I had the ability to update all the PB links though, a bunch of poll results are lost.

Safflower- I would definitely seek one out that wouldn't require a login to vote. The only one I know of is SurveyMonkey, which would only require me to create an account from the look of things. I'll investigate it, and other poll hosting sites if people are interested in that option (so far, it looks like people want this arena locked).

Cassie is lovely but Im still amused we ended up with a pink and purple pony.

It was a lot of fun seeing something grow from a group effort. It sounds like a lot of work for you, but I would love to see another game if you are feeling up to it!

Happy to hear there's more interest from both returning members and new. LMaP is a project for the whole community after all.

Taffeta- I'd like to see Cassie made too, but I can understand why anyone would shy away. She's got a lot going on for one pony.

Wild Raspberry- Only Hasbro's if we're getting technical. She was a community effort so she belongs to all of us.

Okay, So I've put together a list of ponies/gimmicks, and to avoid the issues of my amateur pony wisdom... If anyone notices something I'm missing from any generation, please let me know so I won't end up leaving it out. Otherwise, the gimmick polls at least will have an 'other' option.
