If you can change one thing about a pony....

What would you change?

A question I thought would be fun. Love a pony's colourscheme but not their symbol? Love their beautiful mane but it's stuck on a pose/pony race you don't care for? Has a lackluster name? Has a darned gimmick you just can't stand?

Just be sure to list ONE thing per pony, it's kind of like a "this pony would be my favourite ever but I have this one nitpick!" and not a "I really don't like this pony, this is what they should have done..."

Anyway, to start off: Thanks to the current white pony picture thread, I just dicovered G3 Breezie. I love white bodied ponies, and her CM is so adorable...but that mane colour. It's boring to me to a have a white pony with pale blonde hair in a line that is all about fantasy colours. I think she would look cuter with a green mane matching her CM colour instead.

Pink Sunsparkle: She's cute, and was my first G3 baby, but her name is utterly ridiculous. Just Sunsparkle would be fine.

I adore Waterfire but wish she didn't have an open mouth.

I wish Paradise had a non-so soft release.

I wish Mimic would choose a color: white yellow, or green, not an unappealing in-between.

P.S. Glad to see the white pony thread is spreading some pony love.

I know this goes against G1 conventions and that 2-toned mane tends to be for unicorns only, but I would love Scrumptious to have a red streak on her mane to make her look more like watermelon

I would love Mimic to be in a different pose... She would look great in Moonstone's pose IMO. Or indeed any pose that isn't her own. Any.

I'd LOVE unicorns in TWAF Dancing Butterfly's pose. Can you imagine the adorable-ness!? <3 Also I'd like a Lofty that's not SS. ^__^

Seconding regular Paradise. Also baby Lofty and Baby Shady in regular release, and Ribbon and Lofty likewise.

Would also have liked to see Medley in Surprise's pose, like they did Firefly.

Speaking of poses, I would have loved a shy pose Bubbles and Seashell. I never liked the sitting down pose.

I would've loved to see an NSS version of Twilight, maintaining that full-on deep purple body colour. I know there's always the option of deflocking a mucky one but I'd be too afraid of making a complete mess of it!
Also in regard to the MGR ponies, I would've liked to see Sparkler in a different pose. She has a gorgeous design overall but that pose just puts me off. :/

The POTD reminded me of another thing.

There are a lot of ponies with different names in the US and the UK. Obviously as a UK person I'd like to change them all to UK names (lol) but realistically I'd like to change all the repeated names in the US to the UK equivalents (so MM Cuddles = Teddi, MM Windy = Magical Breeze, etc) so they all have their own identity. To the same token, I'd prefer Molasses to be adopted as the universal name for that Candy Cane pony although in the UK she was  'Gingerbread'.

I'd also like to do something about the names of the Tropical Ponies and the Rainbow Curl ponies in the US.  LAW will probably come drag me away in a minute, but Hula Hula doesn't make sense for the unicorn and should be the earth pony with the palm trees. Sail Away for the unicorn. Summer Heatwave for the yellow pony and Surfing Days for the orange pegasus (because Tootie Tails is silly and Sea Breeze is a repeated name). Of course Pina Colada could be used for the unicorn although that possibly, with her symbol, promotes drink sailing, so maybe not?

I'd like to utterly banish the names Streaky, Stripes, Ringlet and Raincurl because they sound invented by a six year old and don't represent the beautiful ponies they connect to. The UK names all have Rainbow tacked in front which is jerky and repetitive. Although I always liked Rainbow Magic as a name, I'd like to basically at least rename them all with the second part of the UK name - Streaky = Rider, Stripes = Storyteller, Ringlet = Magic and Raincurl = Cloud.

Also genuinely think Hasbro could have done better with Hippety Hop and Skippety Doo as names. Not to mention later generation Tinkatinkatoo, Twistaloo...Honaluloo...etc.

I'd honestly prefer it if G1 Parasol was a unicorn, don't really know why just I'd love to see a unicorn Parasol then again she'd probably look a lot like G3 Rarity if that were to ever happen...

I would like to change a little G3/G3.5 Sweetie Belle's hair. I've never liked that she has a light pink lock of hair in the cartoon that in the toys is a dark pink, I would love if she had that little lock of hair a pastel pink color instead of dark pink.

In general, having ponies irl match their cartoon counterparts sounds like a good idea.
