What are these? (Pony art from 1986)
« on: January 28, 2018, 03:40:36 AM »
Anyone know what these are? Are these original illustrations from a book, or just art by some random artist in 1986? They are both signed "Moch 86". Thanks for any help! ^-^ (These are not my pics.)

I don't know what they are but I don't think they are MLP. They are still cool, though.

I had the same placemats at home as a child. I also had another one with a purple unicorn and another one I can´t remember clearly. I don´t know if they're made by Hasbro, but my mom bought them at our local "Konsum" store.

They look like art of Remco ponies with their white hooves, blue yellow and pink bodies, and rainbow hair. Other than that, I have nothing!

My guess is someone wanted to cash in on the MLP craze so they made generic but "MLP-ish" pony art for the placemats. :)  Very cute!

Ah, ok! Tack för info! ^-^

Thanks guys! They are cute, but I'm with you that they must just be some knock-off art on placemats. I had never seen them before, so they sparked my interest. ;)
