Toys R Us closures incoming

Often prices that say they're good through a certain date, just means they won't go up until that date, but they can still go down. Toys R Us will be gone by June, as they were only promised 60 days of operation.

I asked the manager of my local store (finally) and he said that the marketing displays will go back to their vendors. I want the Geoffrey Giraffe costume so he suggested I fill out a form for buying one of the fixtures via the liquidation company  (racks, registers, etc.) which are after the checkstands, at least at my store.

I didn't know you could buy things like racks and registers.

When they liquidate, they have to sell EVERYTHING.

Imagine them finding a box of TE and adding a few MOC Mimics to the market.

I would place an actual bet that they have boxes and boxes full of G 3.5s in their warehouses. When my Kmart closed a few years ago (it was the one of the last Kmarts to close) they had never started getting G4s -- they just had piles and piles of G 3.5s left over. And I still didn't buy them...

I'd love to see more G3s pop up (G1s would be so amazing, but I doubt that will happen). I noticed a G3 Toola Roola dress up on Target's website and it lists a small number of stores as having her, but I don't know if it's accurate. My Little Ponies are still only 10% off at my TRU.

I just recently found out that my friend's brother in law has been delivering shipments to our local Toys R Us frequently since the sales have begun. She might try to find out when the next shipment is so I can pop in and see if anything good shows up. I'm hoping a G3 might end up on the shelves!

I hope the sales drop soon, I'd like to see how long I can go without my store selling out of the 12 pack so I can get it at the lowest possible price!

I love the surrealness of the photo with the G3. It's like, "spot the deliberate mistake in this picture". Feel a bit sorry for her though. How long must she have been in the warehouse waiting to be bought o.o.

Well the Toys R Us in my area finally started having better sales, so I caved and bought the Calico Critter Seaside Ice Cream Shop.  I've been sort of wanting to get it for a while now, and fortunately for me, it was one of the few Calico Critter sets still left in the store.

On an unrelated note, I would love to find new G3s in the wild.  I didn't check the pony section of my store, so I don't know if they had any G3s.

went to the Toys R Us over by the Citidel Mall in Colorado Springs up on Academy, they had a lot of ponies left over 30% though we had the guys pouting over the replica Capt America Shield that even with the sales was still over 200.oo

Has anyone been to their local TRU this week and if so, what are the sales at right now? The one in my town is still open. I'm trying to decide what the last toy I ever buy from a Toys-R-Us store will be. I think I might get a Breyers horse. I've never had one, and they're so pretty one could easily be a nice shelf decoration for the living room.

Anyone seen any old stock at TRU? I've only noticed a couple of DS games (barbie dream house and lego legends of chima) and my pony section is shrinking.
