Would prototype ponies be in the same boat as region exclusives?

The HQG1C did a poll on Facebook about Takara ponies (i.e. would people buy them) and IIRC it was about 50/50 for yeses and nos.  Whether that is enough interest for them to make them, I don't know.

Wouldn't the HQG1C group need a sacrifical Takara in order to make the mold? I guess that could happen if someone happened to have a baity one they'd be willing to give up...But the moldmaking process would probably be more expensive than normal, since it's jointed. It wouldn't be in just two parts like most ponies are.

My mom lived in Japan in the 80's, she'd never heard of or seen Takara ponies. I think everyone else is right. I can't see this doing well being distributed on a large scale.

*sigh* well, thanks for being honest- bitter as it is, and for providing alternative suggestions in getting them produced. I'll try to poke at HQG1C and ask, at least. Maybe I could try to reach out to the g4 community and ask it it's possible to do something regarding 3d printing or a custom.

There was someone on here a few years back that was making a 3D model of a Takara! I think for 3D printing. I don't remember who it was, though...
