Need an EXPERIENCED G1 Collector to Help Appraise (Purchase Discount!)

Hello everyone! Six years later and I'm back in the saddle again (sort of!) I used to be a pretty active member of the community and stopped collecting when I began college. I'm now running my own business and have decided to part with about 1/3 of my collection. The problem is, I've been out of the community so long that it's difficult to know where prices have gone. I'm definitely checking eBay for reference, but would very much like to "employ" 2 people who consider themselves to be VERY experienced and knowledgeable about G1 values. In return, I would offer a 7% discount on any MLP over $100, and a 12% discount on any MLP under $100 that I sell*. (Please note that this does not mean first pick -- I will be listing my ponies to everyone at the same time. )  Almost all of my ponies are Mint or Near Mint, so know that you would be helping me to price in this category. I would estimate I'll be selling about 40-50 ponies.

I have a handful of HTF and rares / mail orders (and a few internationals) that I'm parting with, so if you're a serious collector, this could be a nice trade.

Please MESSAGE me and let me know if you are interested, and what you feel your knowledge of current pricing is. Bonus if I knew you six+ years ago.

*If I decide to sell Sweet Scoops + Charm and MOC Diamond Dreams, they are exempt.

Honestly, pricing these days is really tricky. Certain ponies go through phases of being super expensive and then drop down again. Others seem to be gradually on the rise and haven't recovered from the spike (for example, Sea Sparkle Baby Sea Ponies have got a lot more expensive than the other sets, relatively speaking, because of a spate of auctions where a few went for silly money).

I'm not confident I'm accurate enough with pony pricing to be able to help you out in a formal way, and I don't really have much pony money to spend at the moment anyway until I get paid for my teaching work, but if there are any informal things I can do to help, then let me know. Unless you have baby sugarcake (the last regular G1 pony I need) and plan to sell her for about half her market value (lol), I am pretty sure I can be 100% objective.
