To be honest, I don't understand their exact relationship either.  The collector ponies have The Bridge Direct logo on the boxes and the bottom of their hooves.  But it seems Basic Fun may be more involved in the actual production somehow.  So maybe some kind of parent company thing going on?

I'm just noticing that the stickers have the "retro" art on them.  I guess that will make it easy to tell vintage stickers from the reproductions.

They have symbols, so that wouldn't be an issue anyway G1 stickers don't have symbols. And sometimes are a dubious species or colour match for the pony

I forgot Skydancers symbol was green colored. Granted it's been twenty plus years since I owned her.
Her and Moonstone were my childhood ponies, now I can buy Starshine. The one I wanted the most from this line. Hopefully everyone who wants one can find one.

Well, the coloring is a little off on the last two.  Starshine's symbol should be gold and Sunlight's should be a silver sun and gold cloud.  These pics all look like they have glitter except for Starshine.  It makes me think that instead of just relying on glitter alone that they have painted the symbol and then added the glitter.  If they used the same yellow for Sunlight's cloud as they used on Starshine, it might explain why her cloud is that odd green color.  Yellow on top of blue body =green

*edit*. Doh!  You said Skydancer!  Yeah, I misread that as Starshine for some reason.

Sunlight's symbol still kills me, but I'll be sure to ask if the rainbow ponies will ever be coming here.

So in love with those Rainbow ponies!  I hope that Sunlight's markings are just prototype.  But I'll be happy to have her even if they aren't.

I did find Butterscotch today!  She was tossed in the back of the end cap behind other toys.  She's very pretty.  I'd like to find Blossom as all of mine have faded to gray.
