Yeah, I get that these are the first set of ponies.  But are they really going to do those same 6 at *every* anniversary?

I really hope that we do get more different ponies but *not* the first set of rainbow ponies.  The second set maybe or just about anything else that isn't the ponies that they have already released.   

I'd be over the moon for a brand new character in the retro mold.   As I said before, is the average non-collector adult really going to be drawn in by these specific characters?  Or is it just the aesthetics of the retro mold and packaging.  And the kids don't know the difference!

I would die for the second set of rainbow ponies. I don't have that one complete yet. Darn things are oddly hard for me to find.

A pony collector friend I have on FB just did a video about them  and the poster inside suggests 'more' ponies to come. I forget the exact wording and need to go rewatch for it but it was something like collect all 6 and more.

$5 in 1982 is the same as $12.61 in 2016.    (I couldn't find anything for 2017.)   So really they are a little cheaper than the original collector ponies.  I am fine with paying $10 as long as the quality is good, which I hope it is.  From the pictures I can tell their tails are much fuller than the first retro set.

So, neat trick the very nice Target associate just taught me. If the price labels in Target are black, the display has been recently reset. So if you're looking for these guys in the MLP section and the labels are black, but no new ponies, then your store probably doesn't have them yet.

Unless they mean more anniversary merch like t-shirts and stuff. If they remake the vintage ponies I will do several backflips down the hall and into our local bank to set up a new savings account
