As Requested: G4.5 Mimic and Ghost of Christmas Present

Quite a while ago, you folks voted on which unfinished custom I should complete, and G4 Mimic won. Next up is G4 Seapony Sand Dollar, but I wanted to finally post what you all have motivated me to complete!

I think if I did her again, I might sand off the tongue to get it more like the G1 rather than paint the mouth details, but I think I like her!

For the Holiday Custom swap, my box arrived, so I am able to post him as well. Aflame talked about loving the food and warmth of the season, and at first I had a lot of struggle thinking of what would be just right. Then I realized the Ghost of Christmas present seemed like a great fit! Definitely one of my favorite Christmas characters, so he was very fun to make.

The symbol is his torch, which is said to resemble a cornucopia. I started to make a robe, but it was a bit overwhelming to the look with his beard, curly hair, and holly wreath already taking so much of this space up. I really like the curly look for this little guy.

You have awesome customs!  And I remember the poll for g4 Mimic- she looks fantastic and that pose really suits her. :D  I also like how you painted in her mouth.  LOVE.

Oh that Mimic is spectacular! I wish Hasbro would see her and be inspired to make a TE line for G4, and just make more random ponies in general. (I love the G4.5 poses, I buy way more ponies these days lol)

Ghost looks amazing - with that beard he reminds me of Hagrid  :lol: lovely colourways.

Oh my, Mimic looks ADORABLE - especially with the G4.5-tongue - really cute with the rhinestone Twinkle Eyes, too!

Question - did you spray paint your G4.5 donor pony to get Mimic's special green body tone?

Absolutely stunning! Mimic has such big and beautiful eyes, and her expression is so cute! And she just looks beautiful :biggrin: The ghost of Christmas present is awesome as well!

Both Mimic and GoCP are airbrushed. Takes a bit of practice, but I love the effect. Mimic has a diluted base of DecoArt's Neon Lights Radiant Yellow. Quite a while ago, people answered my post about what color Mimic is, and I think this is the closest balance of green and yellow to fit her.
