Tail Rust Help

Hello everyone! I recently bought a Windy Wing Glow in need of some TLC (she needs her eyes and symbols repainted and her hair needs some love) but I've noticed she has tail rust. What would be the best way to go about fixing that considering her wings and such? Any advice? I've already fixed my Snowflake's tail rust but Glow is much smaller.

If you can pop her head off, you can use pliers to take the tail out. Then scrub the affected areas with toothpaste I really recommend taking a look inside her as well to see if the rust is in the body as well. If you can't take her head off, just scrub with toothpaste from the outside

Be careful working on Summer/Windy Wings - besides the obvious (the wings aren't nearly as sturdy as the pony itself) their small diameter necks makes them less flexible and more difficult to separate than regular ponies.  Go slow, and mind your fingers.  Heat may help soften the vinyl some.
