I would check the description of the listing to see if the seller mentioned the smoke smell.

If there is no mention: Contact the seller about it. If they don't respond, get mad at you, or dismiss the issue, you should file a claim with eBay with the cause to the claim as "item not as described". If the seller responds differently than how I described you can ask here for more advice :)

If there is mention: You can't do anything, really :( The seller described the item how you received it, so you can't exactly file a claim.

I also want to warn you not to do anything to Clipper in case you need to return him.

They hadn't far as i remember i will check though but it was a smaller site not eBay. Honestly I would still have bought him with smoke smell I'm not returning him i want to save him. Also wondering if it spreads between ponies.

Yeah, that mentions no smoke smell. Definitely leave feedback mentioning it though. For the smell, put him in a bag of baking soda and leave him for a week. You can take him out, check the smell, and if he is free, you are done! If not, you can put him back and wait. If you have to put him back, you can replace the baking soda if you want :) Also, age spots do not spread.

Baking soda is good for getting rid of smoke smell, and also kitty litter.  :)

Also just airing a pony out.   Though it will take time!

Good luck . . . Smoke-smell is my least favorite pony flaw.

I found that just natural sunlight clears out smoke smell.

don't leave him out too long in the sun, but an hour for each side.  direct sun should do it.

 :hope:

Yep, fresh air, sunlight, kitty litter and baking soda are all great ways to remove the smoke smell!

With sunlight I fear it will fade him so I will save that as a last resort

just an hour per side should not fade.  i haven’t had any fade in such a short time.
(i haven’t sun faded myself but i recall people saying that it takes weeks to deliberately sun fade.)

Am I reading it completely wrong? It looks like they said I don't know if he came from a smoke free home?
But yes, while I've personally never tried it, I have always heard good things about baking soda

That's exactly what the seller said which is annoying considering the smell was so strong even the package smelled of it seriously if it was a slight scent and they had got it elsewhere that would make sense they wouldn't know but anyone with a sense of smell knows he did not come from a smoke free home saying they don't know was just annoying when clearly they knew
