We are one week from the start of a new year. With that thought in mind, I thought it might be fun to start a thread talking about our favorite things of the past year. What were your favorite songs, movies, toys, books? Did you try a new food you now love? Travel somewhere you've always wanted to go? Let's talk about everything that made 2017 fabulous!

Best TV / Movie Discoveries:

I found Lucifer this year and really love that.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Spiderman Homecoming were both good.

Food: the More-ning McWrap from McDonalds takes the prize here--I love the one with egg, sausage, hashbrown and cheese.

I finished the rough draft of my fourth novel, formatted it and sent it to myself to do edits as a physical book via CreateSpace.

Jay and I went through all three 999 games and all three Danganronpa games this year.

I got my new computer, monitor, desk, printer, mechanical keyboard, etc.

Oh wow... I hope I can keep this within 2017.


1. I got an ipad pro and love it.
2. A pullip I always wanted came back in stock and I bought her.
3. Lots of new birds came to our bird feeder.
4. I finally saw Moana and love, love it... especially baby Moana.
5. Our indoor plants are thriving
6. Thanksgiving at my mom's house was amazing.
7. I got to try "horse whispering"  ... it really works
8. I have a new salt lamp and it gives our bedroom a pretty glow

Events:
We finally moved from our old, cramped animal shelter into a new, spacious one after several years of planning and then building. I think it was a seven year project.

New TV Shows:
The Good Doctor

New Toys:
1) Last Night on Earth (a zombie board game) created the first new expansion pack in 3 years.
2) Also, The loyal Subjects introduced some awesome ponies.

Books:
3 authors I enjoy (Brian Keene, Stephen A. North, & Owen Baillie) came out with new books. The ones from the latter two I still need to read.

I always scramble my years up but I'll try to keep it 2017.

Milestone:
I started college! I'm going for the two year business degree locally and then I will pursue a marketing or advertising degree when I transfer.

Fun things:
MLP Movie came out, and I love it!
I went to Disneyworld in February as an early graduation gift. I plan to go back for the 50th anniversary.
I stayed a whole day at Bronycon and plan to stay for the full weekend in 2018.

Toy gets:
I pretty much doubled my G1 collection! I got my first Perfume Puff and TEs. Finished the Year 2 Rainbow set.
Got the large playset of the year and started collecting the reboots/g4.5.

Let's see... I celebrated my birthday for the first time since I was ten, and it was so awesome getting to gather all my favorite people for a nice, chill party
I also started learning to play the ukulele, and I've gotten way better at drawing. Overall, I've gotten better at spending time on hobbies. Oh, and I started watching Steven Universe and watched a bunch of Disney movies that I somehow missed as a kid.

Listening to my 5 yr old kid reading "proper" stories to herself for the first time (meaning actual paragraphs of story and character speech) so proud of her + her growing reading skills!
Getting fit and toned-up after "going for it" in March and joining a fast-paced gym, it hurt but it worked!
Enjoying a relaxed summer weekend break on the south coast + timing it during the sunniest weather.
Finally selling my house! I can't believe it!
Oh - finding some of my grail g1 ponies 
Recently welcoming 2 babies into the world by my friends - who both had still-births last year - months of worry now over, even though the happiness is bitter-sweet.
Songs I liked: Rita Ora: Anywhere; Morrissey: Spent the Day in Bed; High Flying Birds: Holy Mountain. 
Songs that remind me of events from this year: Little Mix: Power (played on loop at gym); Calvin Harris: Feels (ditto) Taylor Swift: Look What You Made Me Do (ditto)  Sia: Rainbow (stand-out MLP Movie track, IMHO!)
