I'm kind of up-and-down on Christmas music; it's not something I'd actively seek to listen to but if it's on the radio at work, I don't mind it too much. Traditional carols are nice though, the melodies are really relaxing - but of course, just my luck, they never turn up on the radio!!!

I prefer not to hear it until Dec 1. I make an exception for Tran Siberian Orchestra. I will happily blast even their Christmas CDs in the middle of July. I love their music.

Other than that, there are a few songs that have versions I'll turn off if they come on. There are only so many variations of Baby It's Cold Outside and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus that I can listen to before my ears shut down. That said, Christmas Shoes, Where Are You Christmas and That's Christmas To Me require the volume to be turned up.

Oh yes, I understand working in retail and hating Christmas music. I love Christmas music, but only traditional songs like O Holy Night, Away in a Manger, Silent Night, etc. The ones they play on the radio though ... no thanks!

I love Christmas but do get tired of Christmas/holiday music playing constantly from Nov 1st-Jan 1st. I liked it much better when the Christmas Season started after Thanksgiving.

I never get tired of:

THe Chipmunk song (Christmas Don't be Late)

Last Christmas by Taylor Swift

Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy.

I can only hear Baby It's Cold Outside" so many times.

Definitely over it. Happens pretty easily when it's all they play at work. It's mostly just the Christmas music with singing that seems to get on my nerves, instrumental stuff on the other hand is fine.

Hate.  Pure unadulterated hate.  Christmas music can go die in a fire, thanks.   :pout:

I like listening to it after Thanksgiving but not all the time because some songs I get super sick of (Jingle Bell Rock).  Others I won't even allow to play for more than the few seconds it takes me to discern what song is playing.  I can't abide a moment of like And So This is Christmas and Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time. GUH.

The religious ones never get old to me.  The hymns are beautiful.

I love it when I can choose when I feel like listen to it.

I prefer songs by Bing Crosby or other Classics it gets me in the right mood.  :)

I definitely do not like Christmas music. I was working a Christmas in a commercial and I ended up tired of listening to carols from 3 in the afternoon to 9 in the evening. Then on December 24 (Christmas Eve) my grandmother sings all of them (it's not very good of the head, but of the carols she remembers, yes)

I love Christmas music, but only because I can choose if and when to listen to it. I don't blame you poor retail workers for hating it after weeks of hearing nothing else. I've got a Christmas playlist on my iPod that stays there all year, but I only listen to it in November and December.

I think if it's forced on me, I get annoyed with it. I remember the nine days I lasted working in the toy shop with Hakuna Matata on loop O.O. Seriously.

I've heard a few carol singers lately which have been nice, just atmospheric. We also have a particular christmas CD we play here when decorating the tree, it's a tradition. Otherwise I tend to find myself singing Christmas songs, but we don't play them obsessively. Choice is important :D.
