Barbie Babies
« on: December 13, 2017, 07:33:22 PM »
Does anyone else love Barbie moms and babies? For me, it is especially the older ones from when I was a child, they had string legs -hence none of my survived. I had a destructive younger brother!
I would love to see your collections
G1 pony goals: Merry Treats, Powder, Sunlight, Gusty, Sugarberry, Baby Sugarberry, French Moonstone, Drink 'n' Wet Baby Ponies, Birthflower ponies, baby Rainfeather!
G3: Candy Cane, Snowflake, Mistletoe, Divine Shine ponies!
Wanting to buy LPS accessories and Breyer horses!

I love Barbie babies! I only really collect the older style ones with the string joints and the older newborns in the Happy Family mold. I only own a couple because they're so expensive, but imo they're worth it. No other baby dolls in this size come close. They work for a pretty good variety of dolls in this size range too, which is such a big bonus. Generally I use them with my Livs.

I used to have so many of the babies and their accessories as a kid. I'm still so bummed my mom decided to sell them without my permission ): Eventually I want to build my collection back up and get all the little babies, clothes, and accessories I can get my hands on but its a slow process.

I've also got a small handful of Simba fakie babies from eBay that are pretty dang cute. The quality doesn't come close to the Barbie ones but they sure can take a cute photo!

When they first came out with Kelly who was Barbie's baby sister I loved that doll.  The original one came with a crib and a couple of extra outfits and she smelled like a baby.  But, any Barbie doll during that time to me looked too old to have a sister that young so I always pretended Kelly was her daughter.  Later on they made a larger Kelly doll, probably about life sized.  I wanted it but never got it.

I've got Kelly and her friends (both U.K and U.S.A ones). I still can't say Shelly (because of my speech trouble) so I call her Kelly (AA Kelly is Shelly).

I've also got Krissy with hair (it was in a bundle of Kelly dolls), I'm hoping to get the other colour skin tones that Krissy comes in.

I've got also Heart Family Brother and Sister that I brought from eBay.uk that came with their mum and dad, I've just got to get the new Arrival to complete this family.

Plus on Saturday I got the Skipper Babysitter Inc AA doll who came with a baby.

A mother pony can be protective of her young just like dogs.

Wow I must be old. The babies I had did not move, lol.

I found some photos of them online. Don't think I have them anymore sadly.
