Are these different versions?

Also I'm looking to remove cutiemarks add blue spots and hooves, dye the hair 2 shades of blue and fix the eye (all on the bluer one) to make him my ocs bilgewater...ive never customed a g1 and im clueless tools paints ect...any tips are apreciated

I don't know if there are different versions of him, but neither of them seem bait enough to be used as customs. Please don't customize perfectly good G1s.

The one on the right is probably a bit discolored. There are three "different" versions determined by hoof stamps: Hong Kong with Pat. Pend., China with Pat. Pend., and China without Pat. Pend.

The picture is from the good side his eye is a mess from the other side and his cutiemarks half rubbed off and I've already removed one of the present boxes from his cutiemark.
This comment just makes me feel bad about customizing I bought him specifically to be Billy but now I feel like I can't do it

There's not much of a difference in them so most people wouldn't bother with collecting more than one or differentiating them. The Hong Kong version is definitely the most common in the US. You'll find the China version more common in EU.
