Better late than never... wave 3 pearlies in the UK O.o
« on: December 01, 2017, 06:07:14 AM »
I haven't seen anyone else mention this, apologies if they have, but I went to Smyths in Friern Bridge today and they had a lot of pearly ponies. And then I did a double take because they were all wave 3 pearly ponies, pretty much. They're retail £4.99 each and as I said, there were a lot of them so I suspect this is stock that is JUST getting to stores here. Cards are European. They are also packaged with inserts of some kind, no idea what's on them.

I have only seen them in Smyths at the moment. No 1st wave sea babies though :( only the second wave ones as normal.

But yay? The UK never does seem to follow the Hasbro organised plan that the US does with release dates and stuff, looks like the pearlies are going to be easy to find in the future after all :D

(And for anyone interested, Entertainer still has Wave 1 pearlies, but I guess everyone has Coloratura and co now...)

I actually like pearly Applejack. Is she also wave 3? I only ever really register the others...

That's crazy. Maybe they were holding out for the holiday season. At least they made it though I guess. I had to go to a different state to get mine. I mean I didn't drive to another state just to get them lol, I was there for my little sisters college graduation and it just happened to be a state with stores carrying them.

Thank you for letting us know!  :)

I went to Smyths in Gloucester (nearest to me) and they still had the headband ponies! But no pearlies there :(

Congrats on your lucky find! I'll keep looking though, especially as they had European cards! :)

Well, Friern Bridge is one of the London stores so it might be that they're still working their way across the country. I haven't seen them in the store near my parents' home in the Midlands but hopefully they're on their way? This store had a LOT of them so hopefully it won't be too long before other stores follow suit.

Fingers crossed for you!!
