Restoring playsets - weird smells
« on: November 23, 2017, 09:58:15 AM »
I picked up a Lullabye Nursery today, and it's intact with bow! But it smells weird. As in, the seller actually had it sitting on the porch outside when I got there and the smell was noticeable.

If this were a pony, I would bury it in baking soda for a week and test the results, but I can't really bury Lullabye Nursery. I'm hoping a deep clean and maybe some Febreeze will do the trick, but I was wondering if anyone had found a good way to de-stank playsets without spending all my Black Friday money on baking soda.

That's a shame it's stinky  :( but I think keeping it outside (out of direct sunlight) for a few days may help shift some of the stink? Otherwise sprinkle some baking soda + keep rotating the nursery every day so that each part gets a dusting? You won't need to buy so much soda then!

I put the playset into a garbage bag and put a container of baking soda inside and sealed it up. It worked pretty well!
