Have you ever imagined the wrong pony gen when shopping?

I was really young when G1's were out and I didn't get my first actual G1's until when I was around four or five and by then it was 1988 or 1989.  I do sometimes imagine G3's being in stores though.

I started properly collecting when g3.5s were out. When g4s started to replace them I went around every shop to try and find the last of the g3.5s. I also once found a g3 in a discount shop (original Sweetberry with video) in 2012? and from that moment on I always hoped I would find another g3. I still walk into TKMaxx thinking I'll run into g3/3.5.... But I also forget that it was almost 10 years ago

I have honestly never done this. I remember G1 in stores. I regret their passing. I never think I'm going to see them though when I go shopping...I always know it will be G4.

I found the Running Press Glory at a Forbidden Planet recently! It's the only time I've ever seen any of the retro G1 toys over here, though.

I found the Running Press Glory at a Forbidden Planet recently! It's the only time I've ever seen any of the retro G1 toys over here, though.

I'm very jealous! We barely get G4s where I am. Theyve made both the mlp and the monster high sections of our kmart tiny!

Not in stores, but it still happens. When I see "My Little Pony" mentioned somewhere I get all excited, until I realise that of course it's all G4 now.

I was so dissappointed when the G2 line was over.

Unfortunately the time when G2s were prominent, I wasnt doing a lot of collecting. I had some family things happen and some big moves and they just escaped most of my notice. I only have about 3 G2s and they were all presents or gifts. I have one other G2 that I refuse to give away because the lady at the op shop wrote 50 cents on her body in permanent marker. Maybe I should give her away but it was excessive!

hah, well it was months after she was first released in the US And it's the only time I've seen anything like that over here.
