Rerooting topic - ID hair colors for some ponies

Hello everyone !

My only Big Brother in my collection is Tex. I plan on restoring him. His hair got cut off by nasty children, he's dirty, rusty on the inside and his cuttie mark has faded a bit on both sides. He is going to be my first rerooting so, if you have any tips going through you mind right now, feel free to share them with me.

I looked for his hair color on DollyHair.com and it looks like HEARTTHROB is his match. The problem is, he also has another hue of purple in his mane and tail but I have no idea which one I have to buy. Do you know what his second mane color is, please ?

And finally, talking about buying, I need to ship those hair to Belgium but I can't, I have to buy at least $9.36 woth of articles to ship them home.  Is there any website with the same hair, but more prone to shipping ? I won't buy random hair so I have the correct sum even though I know I have to reroot other ponies. ^^'
 For the rooting needle, I will try to cut diagonally one of my mother's sewing needle and stick it to a handle, it should do the trick.

For the rerooting tool: that will work perfectly ^^ I've done so many times. A pack of needles is really cheap, too, if you don't want to grab one of your mum's.

I think there is an european hair shop tho? Or at least an UK based. Hoping someone will know. There might be links in the customs forum!
Otherwise, I'd check with others in Belgium, via the boards here, if they wanted to do a group order or if someone is ordering soon and you could add a skein of heartthrob to their order

For his hair, I'd say yes indeed to heart throb. His streak of other purple is only in his mane, not his tail (though if you want to do an alternative rehair, I think a matching tail streak could look cool ^^)
Could the darker colour be Forget-me-not from dollyhair?  (I don't have neither tex nor 4-speed, so I can't compare their hair colours)

MyLittleCustoms (https://www.mylittlecustoms.co.uk/) is the UK based one. However, their stock of Heartthrob is out right now
You might check with RetroDolls (https://www.retrodolls.uk/) and see what they have. The hair is a bit different and I don't know offhand what color would match.

Hi ! Thank you so much for you help.
I have a sewing shop on my way to the train station, I should easily get a bunch of cheap needles there, then. No worries for my mommy. ^^
Indeed, the second color is only present in his mane. My bad.  Anyway, I'm feel unhappy to see Heartthrob out of stock. Not cool. I hope it will come back soon. For the "Forget-me-not" color, I'm not 100% sure, but it looks too blue to be his color. I think it should be more purple. I am currently at my college, I will confirm my assumption as soon as I come home.

Well, if I can't do Tex now, I need to find a tail for Swirly Whirly, does anyone know her exact match ? It is yellow, maybe a tad blonde but vibrant. I will confirm this weekend, but here is a from the internet instead.

I also have my G2 "Mommy Bonheur" who got all of her hair trimmed off. Do you know her colors ?

Indeed, I checked Tex's colors, it is blue, definitely not purple, but it looks like it's not as bright as "Forget-me-not" blue. It might be a little less vibrant or something like that.

I think the colour is forget me knot, colours do fade/change over time so it can be hard to find an exact match.

If your rehairing Tex, get two hanks of Heartthrob as the boys have more plug holes! There is nothing worse than being short of hair.

Alright, I'll take two heartthrobs and one forget-me-not when they'll be back in store. ^^
So, what do you think about Swirly Whirly's and Mommy Bonheur's mane color ? It's good if I can purchase all of my hair at once. ^^
