Unidentifiable 80's toy
« on: December 14, 2017, 11:12:15 PM »
Found this on eBay while searching for Moon Dreamers and thought it could make a cool stand in for a G1 Lava demon. But my research says it isn't a Moon Dreamers toy and I'm not sure where it's from.
Anyone else see something like this before?

Can't figure out how to post the picture from my phone yet, so here's a link.

He's actually a MLP character called a "bushwoolie." They are friends of the ponies. :)  His name is Wishful and he was sold with Princess Royal Blue.

Edit: If you are referring to the G1 episode with the lava villain, then you probably know exactly who the bushwoolies are since they were in that episode ^.^

Oh, I thought I had gone to the wrong place! I also read it as "STAND" for a lava demon. Stand in makes more sense, it would be hard to stand anything on a bushwoolie!
Thanks so much to Calico_Star for her beautiful work on my Avatar!

That is a bushwoolie! Completely unrelated to Moondreamers. His name is Wishful :)

.....Seriously that's a bushwoolie?!
(Looks through guide book) Wow. I always expected the toy version to have more hair or at least felt.
Ok that's one mystery solved. Thanks again everyone.

Yeah, that's a bushwoolie.  :satisfied:
Thank goodness they don't have fur - I can't imagine how hard it'd be to find a good condition one 30 years later now if they'd gone that route!
G1 Wishlist  It's the final countdown! Looking to purchase the last few G1's for my collection - Watercolor Baby Sea Ponies Foamy, Misty & Surfy - Red Roses - SHS Sweet Sundrop - Springy - Teeny Tiny Snookums (#2)

Yeah, you would think something named "bush" and "wooly" would be a fluffball of furryness, but I guess not, lol  Im glad they don't have flocking though, they are uncommon as it is.
